My brother and I (and my boyfriend, *****) both moved into our apartments on June 15th. We viewed the apartments a day before moving in despite trying to see the units sooner, but the leasing office would not allow this. That day we saw various things wrong with our apartments all that they said would be fixed by the next day. Nothing was fixed. My brother moved into his apartment that was not cleaned. Maintenance and cleaning services had left various things scattered throughout his apartment and he had no working AC. His AC was not restored until the following week. My apartment had no working hot water, which was just fixed today (6/28). Additionally the closet shelving in our apartments both collapsed. My brother's on the first day, which was fixed, and mine on Monday. Mine has still not been fixed. The leasing office has told me every day this week that someone is coming to fix it, yet no one has. Additionally, there are roaches in our storage unit and in the apartment (though I sprayed myself and they are now gone). There is a giant hole in the wall of my closet. Numerous cabinets and doors throughout the apartment do not close. My bathroom door specifically does not lock or close. Our sliding door barely opens and closes (a safety hazard for numerous reasons. We also have no screens on our window or sliding door (which we were told would be fixed before move-in). The fridge was installed wrong, our ceiling fans were not installed properly, our bathroom sink does not have aerator, I could go on. All I have asked is that the closet and water heater be fixed immediately, and only one of those has happened but over a week later. These all seem to be shared issues among other residents, along with overall theft and feeling unsafe in this complex.
