      In late January 2023, contacted ******** (Gabby) ******* at M&G General Remodeling to provide estimate for replacing carpet with the same engineered hardwood flooring in our living room area. Met on 1/27/23 at our home where she and an associate looked at the floor to be replaced, took measurements and were provided a sample of the flooring, along with the manufacturer information. On 1/30/23, ***** texted me and said they found the flooring and I asked for an estimate. On 2/3/23 ***** sent an estimate via text and we agreed to a price of $4,535.00. We agreed to start work on 2/13/23. On 2/10/23, ***** provided me with a contract via email to be signed through Docusign that spelled out two payments - 1/2 before starting to purchase materials and 1/2 after completion. My wife signed on 2/11/23. On Monday morning 2/13/23, ***** texted that we hadn't signed and returned the contract, but she later found it and she signed on 2/13/23. I sent half the payment $2,267.50 via Zelle. Through text, we agreed she would start work 2/14/23 at 8am. Installer arrived at 10am on 2/14/23 and indicated that materials were being picked up from supplier and were on the way. We allowed him to start removing old carpet, which he left on our driveway. He indicated that the delivery crew would pick up the old carpet. ***** texted after 12pm that there was an error in the materials received and work would be delayed until 2/15/23 at 8am, but that all could be completed in one day. Installer arrived at 9:30am 2/15/23, but again, no materials. At 10am, he shared that he spoke to ***** and she indicated that a substitute flooring was on its way, which is not what we agreed to. My wife called ***** and cancelled the installation, which at this point was already 3 days past the agreed upon start date. ***** indicated that she would return material and provide a $1,767 refund, with difference for carpet removal. As of 2/17/23, no refund, no carpet removal.

      After agreeing to refund $1767 out of the $2267 first payment, she only returned $1500. She refuses to return a total of $767. She said $500 was to pay for the carpet removal, but the person who did that work returned to my house 3/14/23 to ask for a direct payment because ***** had not paid him for the carpet removal.
