Be very careful dealing with Sign Manufacturing. Received a proposal to get our EMC operational. The quote was for $1,125 plus $1,000 replacement antennas. I was expressly told that (1) the actual cost was unknown at the time but would be advised when known, (2) the antennas were proprietary to the sign manufacturer, and (3) the $1,000 was simply a "placecard" and would be updated when price was known. The antennas were not proprietary to the manufacturer. They are sold off the shelf at microcenter, amazon, etc., for about $43. Following numerous rude emails from the owner, the proposal/invoice shot up to $2,100 labor and antenna cost was lowered to $690.59. The additional labor was the result of Sign Manufacturing's incompetence. For example, they undid the power cord and forgot to plug the power supply back in; resulting in another trip. Aside from the overcharge of the labor, without reasonable basis, the company held to charging almost $700 for antennas costing less than $100 --- a 700% mark-up. Rather than the company having an honest discussion of a fair compromise, the owner threatened to come and remove the antennas from our sign monument and building --- committing tresspass and larceny, if not down right theft. Dishonest and disreputable company. What company does that?! Have a reasonable discussion and reach a compromise; not trespass and self-help repossess antennas that we repeatedly offered to pay for them along with a reasonable mark-up (despite never agreeing to anything beyond the cost). Signs Manufacturing refused to provide the invoice from their purchase of the antennas. Of course they did; there was no justification for a 700% mark up. Insane. Do not trust any reply from the disreputable company. Everything stated in this review is factual and the owner of Signs Manufacturing will never state what he actually paid for the antennas. That is the key to disregarding anything he replies with.

Unfortunately this is not accurate. The company you hired to build the sign (not us) could not service their own sign. So we identified the problem with their sign and got your approval for the entire scope (including the price for the antenna, in writing). They provided us the antenna and charged us (and charged us dramatically more than the $100 that you claimed). We finished the project by getting your sign working according to our agreement and at the price we agreed to.Actually, I even discounted the antenna trying to reach an agreement with your company.But you refused to honor the contract or even pay us for our COST of the antenna. In addition, you misled us as to the wiring from your building which cost us hours of additional work that we did not invoice you for. Our ultimate goal is ALWAYS to have a happy customer and we did everything possible to make that happen. Unfortunately, we could not come to an amicable resolution because the only resolution you would accept is us to provide the components for less than our cost to purchase them.
