I don't even know where to begin, this company has been a nightmare to work with and I would not recommend this company to anyone, specifically if you're from ******. Please do not just skim over this review if you are considering this company. The company has been unresponsive and the system has not been able to pass final inspection for more than a year now. Final inspections are "scheduled" and no one will show up and it's been going on like this for months. I will be going to the attorney general not as next steps, initial contract was signed in 2022 and up until this date the system is not operational.

We made an agreement with Obsedian Solar as the Contract Installer on September 9, 2022. To this date our system is not properly working. They never turned on the system or did any total quality assurance checking when the panels were put on the roof. Eventually, we had to figure out how to turn on the system. However, once on we had only 9 of 31 panels that were reporting. Also, found out that someone else in ******* ***** was/is getting our Energy as the panel registration numbers and mapping was never properly sent to *************** Someone came out to finally get the registration numbers from the panels to send in to the *** and *************** However, after talking to *************** the numbers were never sent in and I had to send pictures to ************** of the mapping and registration numbers that the guys had (I had taken picture of the numbers and mapping). However, ************** emailed back and stated that they couldn't get the 22 remaining panels to report and that we needed the installer to come back out and perform some type of ITK app that would correct the reporting through the gateway. However, to this date 12/14/2023, everyone is avoiding us as we are trying to get this situation rectified so that everyone can go their separate ways! Meanwhile, I am very concerned that ************** and GoodLeap continue use this company when they are refusing to honor their contractual obligations. They have gotten paid from GoodLeap to install an inoperable system. Sorely disappointed with the honesty, professionalism, work and lack of ethics in this matter. Just want the situation appropriately corrected!

Obsidian Solar/ ********************* - as a business owner, I truly understand the customer is not always right and things do go awry, without any malicious intent. However, this company is truly unprofessional and their word to complete what they said, is not trustworthy.List of grievance:Did not commission my system, i.e. did not turn it on.All the panels were not installed for 7 plus months Promised to be reimbursed for the month, has not happened ********************* directed me to send in Electric Bills to a clerk which is no longer working for them.Followed up w/o any replies from any one.Followed up with *********************, phone was answered but with a silence on the other side Followed up with *********************, phone answered then listened to the party on the other end for 10 to 15 seconds, then it was ended Partners ******** and Ensign, were helpful, but nothing they can do because they pay them as soon as they 'state' the job is complete, no validation. Follow up calls and emails, ghosted

Solar panels were installed Dec 2022 as of this writing (10/12/2023) the job has not been completed. Plus, my calls have not been returned and in some cases the phone numbers have been dis connected. I could not in good conscience recommend this company.

Obsidian has failed to uphold their end of the contract in a reasonable and timely manner. This project started on May 11th and is currently unfinished as of Aug 27th, 2023. This project is currently 15 weeks (105days). I met with ********************* on Aug 24th and walked him around the property. During our meeting we discussed Obsidians failed management of this project. The company was sold to me as a one stop shop for my home improvement needs. But my project has been outsourced to multiple companies that I have had to project manage on my own. All the delays in my project have been contributed to my roofs type and age, I was very open and honest with obsidian during the home inspection pointing out the age, type, and construction of the roof. It was assured that it was not an issue and special solar panel mounts were made for this installation (for and Additional Cost). The panels were abandoned in my driveway blocking access to my garage for 9 weeks before most of the panels were installed on the roof. I am currently working on getting electricians to the property to finish the wiring from the panels to the electrical components. I am vary un-pleased with my experience with Obsidian, they have not lived up to their word or the contract. All the claims they make in their media and on their website, they have not lived up to. They dont have actual project managers or quality personnel to make sure the client gets the quality system installation that was paid for. All I get is apologies and sympathy and false promises. They are pushing to finish the project and Im at the point where I dont even want the system installed anymore with this bad experience. I fear with this fast final push to finish the project may result in a sub-par final product.I will be following this review up with filing a complaint with the BBB after this review.

Obsidian Solar did a great job on the installation..had a few hiccups but they were quick to fix the issue..they gone above and beyong to make sure everything was right..thank you and definetly reccomended

Got solar from these guys about 3 months back and it was a really good experience. They were helpful, they answered my questions and when I had a small issue their install manager reached out and helped me out with it. An inverter had an error or something and they came out within 2 days and fixed it. They just really made me feel like I made the right decision. Recommend. Yes.
