I had a car accident on 9/18/23 and the person that hit my children and I, has insurance with ****************** Long story short I was told by my attorney, The Heald Law Firm, that it would take 4-6 weeks for me to receive my check. Here we are at week 6 and Monday , 6/17/24 the owner called and told me that my check was lost in the mail because it was mailed to the wrong address. The lady that is over issuing checks, ******, has been dodging my calls for 3 weeks now and will not respond to my calls or emails being forwarded to her by ******* *** the pre-litigation case manager. My kids and I are homeless living in a shelter and I want my money. I have reason to believe they are trying to steal my money because they keep giving me the run around and quite frankly Im tired of it.Business response

We acknowledge there was a delay in paying our client out in a timely matter and we apologized to our client and explain why there was a delay. It was brought to my attention (COO) and I quickly acted by notifying the adjuster that we had not received the settlement check. We discovered the check was mailed to the wrong address (old address) and we immediately went to that address to see if it was there and it was not. I spoke with the adjuster to cancel that check and reissue by sending it using our ***** number. Once it arrived, we quickly paid out our client. Again, we apologize for the delay for the client. We have documentation of all communications if needed. Best Regards.
