      October 1st Looksbylayy I originally got my hair done and after the 3rd time the stylist didn't do the style correctly and offered to correct the issue by adding the remaining hair into the braids. After noticing a strong smell I asked ****** what was the smell and she put nail glue in my hair stating the glue is on the fake braiding hair. Upon taking my braids out I begin to see pieces of my hair fall out. I was under the impression she was a licensed stylist. The stylist has no license, blocked me from contacting her and from her business page before I discovered the glue was stuck in my hair. I am requesting that the stylist obtains a proper license so this never happens to another client and a full refund of my money as this isnt the service I paid for. Having to seek treatment for my hair will cost me over $500 treat.***************************************** Suit 119

      Business response

      11/08/2023

      I am not sure if the first response went through or timed out. This client has had services by me prior to this appointment, one with the same style done the same way. Please see the attached appointment times. She also brought her daughter for services as well. The last time the client came in was to have the hair even in the boho knotless stlye that I preformed on her. She wanted all of the additional curly added hair to be even instead of how the stlye is normally done with curly hair added throughout randomly through the braid. I told the client she was more than welcomed to come in and I would make it even to her liking. The statement about a smell never happened nor did I use glue. This style does not require any adhesive. I have attaced a picture of the tool that was used to add the curly hair. I used a crochet needle to guide the small pieces of hair through the braid then places the curly hair into a knot throughout the braid. Please see the attached picture of a previous client who got the same look.

      I have had 35 hours of natural hair training through a licensed cosmetoligist instuctor over 4 years ago. In the ************** a cosmetoligist license is not required to braid hair. However, I am currently in college.

      I have banned this client on the 3 bases. One the day of her last appointment ***** a very loud phone conversation stating " I will send my people to who ever I have a problem with and have them taken care of." I felt very uncomfortable. Secondly, my policy is that you cannot bring additional guest to your appointments, the client did not follow the rules. Lastly, the client contacted clients off of my social media page at inapproriate hours of the night to ridcule me to my clients. One of the clients called and informed me. When the client booked her appointments through my booking site she read the policy and aggreed to them all. After not following policy the client was banned.h th

      I have witnesses that are more than happy to give statements if needed. I also have multiple clients that are willing to give staements that have received the exact service she did and have had no complaints. I am asking this client to humbly part ways and no longer harrass me or my clients. I have been very gracious to provide her with the service she requested and added additional services free of charge.

      Customer response

      11/10/2023

      Complaint: 20808311

      I am rejecting this response;

      Complaint: 20808311??I am rejecting this response because: The stylist is being dishonest. On 10/1/2023 when I originally got my hair braided the stylist said I dont have a lot of time my babysitter will only watch my daughter for a certain amount of time. After the stylist rushed through my hair I sent her a video showing that pieces of the hair she added in was falling out. I messaged the stylist on Instagram via direct message and provided a video of the hair falling out as well as feedback about the service provided. In which she stated Are they sliding out from the back as well? I know with the crochet ones at the top were for sure Ill find a method to make it secure before hand ! And Ill add more to that right side to make it even like the left. And no you are fine Im glad that youre telling me I dont want you to be dissatisfied please see the attached image showing the same response I quoted from the stylist. The stylist CONFIRMED she was aware the hair that she Crocheted in was sliding out. Upon returning on Tuesday another method was used. Referencing what the stylist stated about using a DIFFERENT method to secure the hair other than the previous Crocheted  method. Which method was used outside of Crocheted? The method that was used was Nail Glue in which I wasnt aware she was using glue until she was almost completely done adding the additional hair. I  asked her what was that strong smell was and she said *********. I then asked her why would she use Nail glue in my hair and she stated that was the only way to secure the hair because the Crocheted method was causing the additional curly hair to fall out. The stylist accepted the feedback and acknowledge she made a mistake as she stated I will add more to the right side to make it even like the left. Images attached. Upon taking my braids down my NATURAL hair from my scalp is bonded by the nail glue the stylist used. After getting my hair serviced more than 3xs I tried reaching out to the stylist on social media and I was unable to send her a message realizing I was blocked from social media. I never said I will send my people to whoever I have a problem with and have them taken care of this statement is utterly false and IF that was said what conversation led up me to me allegedly stating those words? Additionally, I tried texting the stylist in which I was randomly blocked. The client of the stylist in whom I reached out to is the client that referred me to her. The same client who is a lash tech that use to do my lashes until I relocated to a further city. I have additional photos of the text I sent the lady the stylist is referencing in which I messaged at 7:51pm CST. This issue could have simply been resolved by being honest, fair, apologetic and further more asking for my consent before adding Nail glue to my hair which is not listed on the stylist website as a method she uses to secure the hair. As a result of the stylist bonding my hair together, I have experienced emotional stress/damages and financial loss.

      Business response

      11/17/2023

      In response to the rejection. I have attached the images of some of my clients as well as *****'s images of her stlye. Exhibit A and B please see attached. I also attached the intake form that ***** agreed on the policies when scheduling and having an appointment.
      The first method performed when doing the boho style on the client was feeding the curly hair through the braiding hair with the crochet needle then braiding it into the braiding hair. The new method which I previously stated in my initial response is in addition to the first method I took the curling hair into smaller pieces and tied them into a knot for more security.
      As for ******* to pick up my child from childcare was due to you not following policy and bringing additional guest to your appointments which requires you to stop multiple times to tend to your additional guest. You even wanted to leave your appointment and go get them food and that is when the comment came in ******* about me having to rush to get my child. I have a scheduled time for my clients and policies set up to allow both a great service and form me to tend to my personal business. Even after you brealing policy I still allowed excellent customer service and offered you to come in and do something different for you to be happy with your stlye at no charge at all. I have multiple clients that will be more than happy to give comments about me and the service I provide.
      Lastly, I never use glue or any adhesieve to acheive this stlye. Witness statements are available as needed. The entire acusation is false. That conversation was never had. I would hope that you would be honest and not continue to slander my business as well as my character. I am honestly unsure why you are stating false comments towards this service in the photos you were very happy with you service at the end you allowed me to take pictures and videos of you spinning around with joy. I also went into our instagram thread and you deleted the video of you pulling out the curly hair before placing the knot for security after telling you if you pull on them they will slide out. I still allowed you to come in and redid it for you at no charge becasue of my customer service skills.
      If you are just wantimg your money back for whatever your personal reasons are, please just ask that but to slander and harrass is unethical.
