On 6/12/2024 at 12:30 PM CST, I arrived at *****'s Tire Repair Services to get some rims on my car and spoke to *****. ***** asked me to come back in an hour and I did. ***** proceeded to provide me the service I came for. He took all four tires and sensors off my old rims and attempted to put on the new rims but told me they didn't fit the new rims. He then tells me he did not check if the rims would fit prior however if he put the sensors tires back on the old rims that he would have to charge me $150.00 more because of his error. My problem is if he would have took 1 tire and sensor off the old rim to check it with the new rim then he would have known that it was too big. I had no choice but to pay to get all four of my tires and sensors back on my old rim in order to leave. ***** did not offer any compensation for his error just had the attitude it is what it is.Business response

I honestly dont feel responsible for his purchases (wheels and tires) that werent made at my shop. I cant guarantee and shouldnt be liable for the mistake this customer made with that purchase.
if the wheels were purchased from my shop (Aarons tire repair & service) and this error was made. I wouldnt have had charged him a dime and made things correctly.
Customer should complain to the seller of the wheels and tires and not my services from his demands. Some way or another he was convinced they fit his car which is why he brought me the car to install them. Customer was given the options to make the wheels work for the vehicle but he didnt want to move forward with the options given to him.
If he wasnt too sure that they werent going to fit either he couldve started off with mentioning that. But again ******** mentioned already, the seller of those wheels and tires should be held responsible and guarantee fitment.
As customer also mentioned in his statement, that if I wouldve done 1 tire he wouldve still had to pay me regardless for doing what I did in that process, plus the reversal of that 1 setup.

I am rejecting this response because: if ***** would have put on 1 rim/tire I wouldn't have had to pay for all 4, then he was trying to double charge me. I am not happy with his response or service. I paid $150 for him to take off my original rims/tires and to put those same original wheels back on without my tire sensors that he took out.
Sincerely,
