Contractual Agreement with Jacob & Sons File # ********** Complaint Reason: Delivered Poor Work and Breach of Contract Taxpayer #*********** Supervisor: Jacob ******* Timeframe: 4-5 Weeks Total Cost for Labor & Materials: $25,400 Worker: Moi *******, Moi’s son *****, and five additional in and out workers. Start Date: November 14, 2023 Paid: Check #**** $8,000 on 11/14 Zelle Moi ******* $700 Paid: Check #5002 $4,000 on 11/27 Paid: Jacob Zelle $200 on 12/3 Paid: Check #**** $7,000 Jacob is the Supervisor that I signed a major home renovation project on November 14, 2023. I have documented times in which he did not live up to the specifics of the contract. Jacob requested the funds above which I have paid in full. On Nov 13th, Jacob requested photos of the work that I’m seeking and agreed to the details. On Nov 14th as we met, he did not have everything on the contract that we agreed to, and I refused to sign the contract. He asked to meet again after adding the additional details and a complete walkthrough so that we are on the same page with the scope of work. He then asked if I would Zelle his partner $2700 and a $10,000 check. On Nov 15th, I requested measurements to purchase materials during the black Friday sales needed for the projects. He did not honor this request, instead forwarded photos of the garage area and dismantling of the pergola. On Nov 17th work started on the carport area. On Nov 23, Jacob was reminded of our conversation regarding the post on the carport and patio cover along with all trim to be the same color as the dummy walls built, and he agreed. On Nov 24th, the scope of work for the projects that were shoddy workmanship, with unexplained delays, and amenities that didn’t get installed prompted me to express these concerns with Jacob I asked again for a timeline with daily tasks so that I’m aware of what’s going on from day to day as the workers were inconsistent with their workdays and times.
