We contracted on 09/15/23 with ***************************, owner of Landscape Living for landscape and irrigation work. We had several issues, ********************** regarding not only them not showing when they were supposed to, his excuses, but the irrigation aspect of the raised beds & plumbing. ***** EVENTUALLY corrected some of them. ***** came back out 02/23/24 to correct yet another plumbing issue in the corner flowerbed, ***** was in a hurry to leave so we briefly discussed the remaining issues: one raised bed still not plumbed correctly, the lack of coverage for watering the yard in zone 6 where corner flowerbed was cut in, zone 8 valve placement, leak and height (he installed zone 8 to the existing system, the valve was placed behind the master valve, in the walkway & not along the house with the others & the valve was higher than the box, so if stepped on while mowing the valve would break). ***** muttered a response that the placement didnt matter & he didnt know where the water was coming from. Our last communication was on 02/25/24 when I notified ***** that zone 8 was not responding to the controller and failed to water the raised beds. I asked him to send a licensed irrigation person out to fix his mess, he declined. He said we would discuss Monday and he would send his son ****** out to fix the line and bring topsoil (which was his fix to the valve height), havent head a word from him since. He was paid $11K, asked all checks made payable to him, not his business. The job was not completed as agreed & he stated no license required for irrigation work, TCEQ disagrees with him and weve filed a complaint. On 03/13/24 we paid a licensed irrigation specialist $618.15 to redo zone 8 valve, replace master valve where apparently it and zone 8 had been tied together, redo drip line in the one raised bed, redo the heads to zone 6 so yard would have proper water coverage and connect zone 8 to the controller. We would like $618.15 repaid to us.

A contract was agreed to and signed for Landscape Living to do numerous projects at my house. This included removing old landscaping, adding in rocks and also bushes. To date, the landscaping is not complete as the bushes have still not been installed. The job also included removal and installation of a new pool deck that was to be stained and completed to my specifications; the build of the deck has still not been completed and therefore has not been stained. A concrete pad was also to be poured, this was halfway completed, parts of the frame used to pour the concrete are still attached and the concrete is cracking and has also not been stained. In addition, my fence was to be removed and replaced, neither have taken place. There was also to be a new electrical plug ran from my house to the outdoor pump of my swimming pool, this has also not been completed. Out of the five tasks, not a single one has been completed 100%. Our original contract was for a 6 week completion timeframe after the 4 week wait time for the job to start. Mr. ******** has taken over $9k from me and has quit responding to any of my messages. I have been beyond patient and understanding with Mr. ******** but I am a single mother and I am desperate to get this money back or come to some kind of a solution. With our last bout of storms, my fence has completely been torn down on one side and I'd like to keep my backyard private for the sake of my daughter and our pup. Any kind of help resolving this would be greatly appreciated!

Shoddy workmanship and will not honor warranty. This company was hired to perform a job and only completed part of the work before being fired. The owner responded to a review and said he would warranty the 2 things they did get done, a retaining wall and fence (fence wasnt fully complete). The retaining wall has a large crack in it and he is refusing to fix it. I paid $50,000 but not fonal $3000 because fired before they finished. He is saying no warranty since not fully paid even though he did not finish everything. The only work that was complete was wall and patio. Shed, fence, sprinkler repair from their demolition, sod and drainage system not completed. They broke a piece of the wall but took the stone and said they fixed it. Need to have help holding them accountable for their work and not honoring their warranties.

Business Response /* (1000, 7, 2022/03/25) */ I am still pulling up all paperwork on this project as it was almost a year ago to review. We were asked to leave job prior to being able to complete work and entire balance was not paid. I will have paper work pulled together asap and will respond further at that time.

We paid Terry **** A******* of Landscape Living +++a deposit of $3000 to remove an existing brick pond and construct a new pond in our backyard. He removed the old pond and sloppily poured cement for the new pond. Cement residue was left all over the rest of the inlaid brick pavers around the pond. It will be very difficult, if not impossible, to remove the mess they made. While pouring the concrete, they failed to leave the provisions for the fountain pond drain by covering the existing drain with concrete. We contracted to have this project done in June 2021. It is now December and after the concrete was poured approximately two months ago, nothing else has been done. We have attempted to contact Mr. A******* many, many times and left messages. He has failed to return our calls or texts. The few times we contacted Mr. A*******, he said he'd be here to do work and never showed up. We have let him know that we are retired and could be available any time it would have been necessary for him to do the work. Except for two weeks in Oct, during which time we were on vacation, the area was accessible to him the entire time. Mr. A******* has not shown any inclination that he intends to honor the agreement to build the new pond that he agreed to build when he accepted the $3,000 payment. We would expect Mr. A******* to honor his agreement which includes construction of the pond, required electrical and plumbing or refund our money.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/12/27) */ Mr and Mrs ******, unfortunately over the last 60 days we wave been plagued with illness at our company and at our home as well. The delays from this as well as the general work force shortage, material shortages and soaring prices have caused us to be less than productive on yours and other jobs, we are doing the best we can in difficult times and have every intention of completing your job. I will contact you regarding resuming your work after the first of the year. Happy holidays to you both. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2021/12/29) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) Thank you for finally corresponding. It has now been seven months since we agreed to our backyard project and paid you $3000. This project should not have taken more than a week, at the most, to complete. Therefore, if what you stated in your correspondence with BBB is true, please give us an honest start and completion date for the project. It has been seven months since we contracted for this projected and we have become impatient with your lack of abiding by our original agreement. We would like for you to finish the job. The area is always open and there is no reason, on our part, why you can not start the work immediately. Please show us the courtesy of commutating with us your plans for completing this project. Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2022/01/07) */ As I stated previously we fully intend on completing the job. Once this Better Business Bureau claim is resolved and we will move forward. Consumer Response /* (4200, 11, 2022/01/10) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) In the interest of moving forward, please give us a date and time for completing the job. You stated your unfortunate plague of illness, general work force shortage, material shortage and soaring prices caused the seven months plus delay. Just remember, when we contracted for this job, all this had not happened. According to other estimates, this job should not take more than a couple of days to complete. This BBB claim can not be resolved until the job is complete. If history repeats itself, we will continue to get the run around and empty promises from you. Considering the above, when will you get started? Business Response /* (4000, 14, 2022/01/31) */ I will reach out to you this week. Thanks Consumer Response /* (4200, 16, 2022/02/01) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) We have recently had a professional inspect the project and he pointed out that the cement flooring Mr. A******* put down is not structurally sound enough to acuminate the weight of the rocks, water and fountain. Which means the cement that Mr. A******* installed will have to be removed and replaced with rebar in order to be structurally sound. If Mr. A******* had done the job correctly in the first place, we would not have this additional cost. I am amending this complaint and asking for a full refund of our deposit.
