Mr. L******* attempts to not only have experience, but does excellent work in other trades such as shower tile. After tile backer and thin set mortar was installed, making the shower ready for tiles to be placed with mortar, they began on a Tuesday. They were there from morning and said they left at 5:30 or six, although my cameras showed then leaving between 3 o'clock - 4 o'clock. Nevertheless, as the weekend approached, he personally assured me and then reassured me he would be completely finished by Sunday evening.

Sunday evening came and went, as did Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and by 1:00 PM on Thursday I called and and explained that his two workers need to be out of my house, with the tile completed, and what could be described as an atomic bomb going off in my master bathroom completely clean; AND after choosing to stop cutting the tile in the garage or driveway, but instead in my master bath which created an unfathomable amount of tile dust from cutting the tile inside my bathroom, with my walk-in closet door open, and not a single piece of clothing in my wardrobe was not completely covered with tile dust.

I put down old thick moving blankets, even though I was certain they would mask off the walkway from outside to the master with their own tarps, tape, and anything to catch falling dried mortar. They brought NOTHING to cover ANYTHING. I had brand new, very expensive carpet put in after they began, because,
A: I couldn't reschedule the carpet
B: i was promised they would be finished before the carpet was installed.

Even after the new carpet, I was the only one to cover anything to keep a mess from the exterior doors, to the master.

My children had school early the morning after I said they needed to be finished,. my son with football practice, my daughter with cheerleading practice. We hung out at my parents for an additional 2 1/2+ hours knowing they would not be finished at the time they said they would.

When my children and I finally arrived home, of course he wasn't finished, I simply said I need you to leave and come back another time. My children have been up for more than two hours past their bedtime. The worker said he"only had two more cuts", I said fine. Go ahead. How long will that take? 45min to an hour. I said, "What?!"' 2 cut will taken an hour? "

I finally just said, "Please finish and leave".
He had his girlfriend with him who apparently was trying to help clean an uncleanable mess. But while my fue titeas displaced because of carpet and flooring, which included my garage, she asked what I planned on doing with my furniture in the garage. I said eventually I will be putting everything back where it belongs.
She then asked if she could have some of my furniture. And with a fake sad voice said they had no furniture in there place. I said " No, you may not have my furniture, but it's new. I have the receipts. I'll sell a couple of pieces for what I paid." After grabbing the invoices I gave her 3 prices of 3 pieces. Ranging from $1,800-$2,500. Of course she declined.

FINALLY, the worker walks outside and says he's finished. I now grout needs to dry and then removed, but I gave him a check to give to his boss anyway. I had a glass company to measure the following day.'

After the glass company came out to attempt to measure the size of a sliding glass door, he said "the tile has been installed so poorly, I can't even place a glass door in the shower. I've been doing this for over 10 years, and I believe this is the worst tile job I've ever seen as far as I can remember. I apologize, I wish there was anyway for me to properly put a glass sliding door, I simply can't because of the absolute lack of quality of workmanship "

Honestly, I wasn't surprised. I now have to hire a company to remove everything they did, start from scratch, and this reputable company as opposed to Curtis L******* Tile Floors, will only take two days, rather than 3 1/2 weeks.

I've owned several construction companies, I've never had someone work for me that did such a bad job that a customer went out of their way to leave a poor review. I'm very surprised I'm the only review on BBB. But they are not a member so they would make sense.
