      Details ************ replaced a totaled roof due to hail a years ago.In 2018 I had a few shingles blow off due to straight line winds.I thought it was odd since the roof has just been replaced just few years before. I contacted the business and the owner came out.Per his inspection, informed I needed a new roof because I also had hail damage.He then advised he completed temporary repairs until the work could be done & the insurer can inspect the roof.I contacted my insurer, and was given a repair estimate for minimal repair, about 1100.00.I informed the roofer, he disagreed and asked I set-up an inspection so both he and the insurer can go over the roof damage.Based on the result of that inspection, my insurer stood firm, the roof was not totaled.I was unable to complete repairs at that time as I no longer had full time employment. Since then several more shingles blew off. Now that I've gained full-time employment I was ready to proceed with the repairs. I had a new roofer to inspect the damage on Oct, 17, 2023.Results of his inspection:Upon inspection, instantly noticed the roof repairs were not completed correctly.Shingles are missing from 2 ridges. Forwarded photos.The roofer that replaced your roof did not put paper down on your ridges. Your wood is exposed, which has caused slight water damage.Other than that, the roof is sound.He encouraged me to contact my original roofer to see if repairs can be made under the workmanship warranty to cover the cost. I contacted Hatley Brothers on Oct 27, 2023. Explained the situation about the workmanship to the admin assist and asked about the warranty. She asked how long ago the roof was done. Advised I couldn't locate the original contract for the specific date. She then advised the company went electronic abt 3 years ago and that my original paperwork was in storage boxes. The *** agreed to inspect, came out twice never commented on the workmanship & said I should file a new claim for hail & wind.

      We stand behind our work. If there is a problem we fix it. We tried to call and clarify our recommendation with the customer and she refused to take our call. If she would like to call us we are happy to address the issue.

      If the Company stands by their work they would've expressed it after the roof was inspected which clearly supports they put no paper down on my ridges when the roof was initially replaced instead of telling me I needed to file a new claim.  I specifically asked about the workmanship warranty during my calls.

      After the owner came out to inspect, I was told he saw where ******** blew off but said nothing abt their workmanship only that I needed to file a new claim. Unless they're agreeing to take care of this matter there's no need to contact me. If that's the intent they could've sent something in writing or left a voice mail message they'd like to take care of things.

      Not sure If my initial response to Hatley **** reply to regarding my complaint.

      In my opinion they do not stand by their work. If that were the case, they would've left a message of forwarded their intent in writing. The company was made aware of the workmanship issue which was never addressed during their inspection or my phone calls. At this point I dont trust the Company will honor the work . Thinking of filing a small claim. Thank you BBB.

      I have reviewed the business response and accept this resolution. I appreciate the Hatley Brother's

      willingness to repair concerns regarding this matter.

      This list of concerns:

      Water damage (exposed wood) due to lack of paper installation along ridges

      Proper Installation of paper on ALL ridges as the (2) exposed ridges revealed paper was not installed at time of roof replacement.

      Replacing the shingles
