On 4/28/23 I retained Milena Christopher as my attorney. She brought on **************************** as co-counsel for all in person court proceedings to help save move and eliminate the need to pay her cost of travel for court hearings. At that time I was told I am getting two attorneys for the price of one. Meaning I only pay the Christopher office and they will pay **************************** directly from the trust I have with their office. In June (so 3 months) I was told I racked up a total of $14,000 in services which is ridiculous. To pay $14,000 for temporary orders is high way robbery. Ive been beyond over charged by the Christopher office while the ******* Law office was the ones handling everything and unfortunately was not being paid the way they should have been paid. I have been trying to move forward with just the ******* office but due to the lack of professionalism from the Christopher office I have a $4400 outstanding balance with the ******* office. Delaying my process even further. I have emailed the billing department with the Christopher office multiple times and has had zero luck in resolving the issue. Ive in fact been asked to pay thousands more in which I explained I will not do as the invoices and charges make absolutely no sense. Theyve already got away with way more money than services rendered. I feel it is unjust and unethical to take advantage of a service member during my time of need. If the Christopher office could not complete the task discussed in the consult they should have stated that right off the bat and I couldve went a different direction. If you look at the emails the balances and amount owed changes. At one point it said I owed the MC firm $2518.75 and the ******* firm $5976.00. However per the ******* invoice I only owed $4476.00. Which is $6994.75. I paid $3600 by July 12th full satisfying the MC balance. Yet Im still requested to pay more. Nor have they paid Mrs. ******** office. There is no consistency in the numbers.
