I bought a maintenance package. My main complaint at the time was my AC was not working correctly. So I bought the maintenance plan. They came out and cleaned the coils. That did not fix the problem. In fact they never looked past cleaning the coils. It was the sump pump not working correctly, which I ended up replacing myself. No problems since I fixed it myself. My complaint against the company is I asked them to refund the second maintenance and they offered me $75.00 it should have been at least $125.00 but they refused to do that.

In the middle of filing a lawsuit against this crooked company. They upgraded our hvac from master cool to refrigerated air. In April 2023. It took 3 months because they contract out the cheapest labor possible. The owner ********************************* is unethical and greedy. The company has blocked my cell phone number on numerous occasions so we cant reach out for emergency situations. Since installation we have had the following dangerous issues:- freezing of our HVAC system several times, never addressed - water leak in our system - Electrical shortages and outages (see photo, literally burned through wires and created a dangerous fire hazard)- hastily unattractive installation of the electrical upgrade - only half of the home has air flow - salesman lied and changed our contract, somehow they obtained a signature on a contract that no one signed for. I have spent around $1,000 trying to hire outside help to assess the absolute disaster this company has created. Today 9/27/23 ********************************* was at my house witnessing the patchwork to try and fix a shortage in our electrical upgrade done by Mechanical Technologies. Well the fix lasted about 4 hours. I didnt trust having the hvac system on, as I know they didnt fix the issue, and our electricity went out again! There is a dangerous shortage somewhere in our electrical job because the job was so poorly done. The BBB should absolutely work to help everyone who has been done wrong by this crooked company, and file complaints with all the licensing boards as this company should not be operating. I want all cost of this horrible job dropped, as I will likely have to spend double to find someone willing to fix this disaster.

During the course of water heater install gas line was damaged causing a gas leak, company refused to own the mistake or repair. Gas was on and operational up until the install. No leaks or issues until they tried to install water heater. I had to call gas company to shut off the gas due to the intense smell of gas caused by leak, which again was not there prior. Company claims the massive gas leak was already there. They arrived and started the install if the strong odor of gas had been present they wouldn't have started the install, they 100% damaged the gas line during install, as they were banging the pipes with a hammer and had the wrong fittings for the pipe they were trying to make fit.

*****************, Sorry for your unfortunate experience. In older homes there is always a risk of finding gas leaks. The gas lines are very old and rusted. Installers made an attempt to fix the leak that was near the ** but the pipes are way to rusted to repair. It was in no way caused by the installation. It's just that the pipes are too old. I believe the gas *** mentioned this to you as well.
If this had been caused by negligence in our part we would have fixed it right away. No questions asked. We always back up our work.

Thank you again for your time.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Home was occupied with no gas leaks until installation, it was not a minor gas leak that "could have been there all along" it was a major leak after install when gas was turned back on, strong smell that was not previously there. The pipes may have been rusted; however the leak was caused during the course of the install. If that leak was pre existing and the strong smell of gas was in the home, I am assuming the water heater install would have been cancelled as no one would have risked operating in the hazardous conditions, correct? Or the techs would have reported the "bad" conditions of the pipe and refused to install as the risk of breaking the pipe would be high. However no gas smell was present in the home, and no risk of rusted pipes was detected which is why the install went ahead, it wasn't until completion when the gas was turned back on that the strong gas smell was immediately detected and gas company had to be called out. At this point an elderly single woman went without gas in home for weeks until she could afford a repair, the leak has been fixed; however some reimbursement should be offered since company refused to correct when it happened.

The installing crew didn't cause the leak. The pipes are so old and brittle that the leak might have been more obvious when the water heater was moved. We offered to fix the leak, obviously for a fee. You cannot expect for us to fix old pipes that fall apart by themselves for free.

I am rejecting this response because:

There was no leak prior to the installation.  If there had been when the water heater was moved, as you state, the crew would have smelled the gas and stopped the install, or noticed the brittle old pipes, as you say, and realized banging on them with a hammer would break them, and that moving forward with the install was too risky.  Company will continue to deny and I will continue to argue that there was no gas leak, as the home was occupied for YEARS, without any sign of a gas leak.  How could a major gas leak go undetected that long?

During install it was observed that the wrong pipe fitting was being used and after banging on it with a hammer to try and make it fit,  they left to buy the correct fitting, then came back to finish the install.  I believe this is what caused the pipe to break.

The gas company was called out after the crew insisted they did not need to be called, when they arrived they said it was a major leak and had to shut off the gas.
