***** , the owner was hired to do a new construction cement slab for a home , he did not use the materials that the plans were calling for. As a result to his negligence the cement slab starting cracking once the framers started putting the weight of the frames as the worked on lifting the structure. I called ***** many occasions and tried to have him go look at the job he did and has refused to go and has also refused to provide a copy of his insurance. I spoke to his wife who handles the admin part of their business and asked her for the insurance , she stated that she had to call the insurance agent and that she will provide it when she got it. I asked her repeatedly if they were really insured prior to starting their jobs the insurance should be available since I am a bit familiar how the insurance certificates work on 6 or 12 months basis. I have called them so many times and the ignore my calls and messages . I have requested to speak to them so that we can get to a resolution and have him inspect the job he did and also need him to provide his insurance information in case there is a mistake on his end we would need to file a claim as this is why small businesses need to carry insurance to work on peoples properties. The slab was pretty big and if there is a contractor negligence or error my losses would be very costly since the structure of the building is already up.
