I purchased a house from Winton homes (an accent home) in March 2022. Prior to closing on the house I had multiple problems with the house and the builder. *****, the *******, was very rude and condescending and disrespectful. Basically told me that since my house only cost $200,000, I needed to accept mediocre craftsmanship. Fast forward to May 2022. I discover a leak in my garage. Contact the warranty department. Granted it was a Saturday. An employee from winton came to the house to assess. And said the plumber would be by Monday morning. Plumber shows up Monday, tightens valves and says that should fix the problem. Well it doesnt. Plumber comes back the next day. Tightened more valves. Then came back the next day and applied Teflon tape. None of what they have done has worked. Now the leak is seeping into the master bedroom wall. All because the plumber didnt do their job. I ended up opening up more the wall in the garage and found more water. It is truly frustrating that a builder uses such a worthless plumbing company. And even worse. They are in no hurry to fix the problem.Initial Complaint

During the construction of our house, we were introduced to a “Brand new” design Winton had just approved regarding the front face of a house and we were walked through the construction process. As it was explained by ****** (Winton design coordinator) to my wife and I, the Cantera Stone would be placed on the face of the house over wet cement/adhesive in lieu of stucco (around September 2019). This was reiterated to us during the construction phase by our builder representative (***** ******) as well as a contract supervisor named ****** (around October 2019). We were assured both in the design and early construction phases of exactly how the stone on the face of the house would be constructed. Fast forward to late spring/early summer of 2020 (around June/July 2020), my wife I notice that a few of the stones on the face of the house inexplicably fell off revealing that the stones were adhered to the house in a completely different fashion than we were previously, repeatedly told. The face of the house was completed, to include stucco, then with less than 50% of the coverage space of the stones underneath covered in small amounts of cement. This began the initial contact with Winton warranty division. Since that day, the warranty department has been repeatedly notified from mid 2020 to today (January 2022) that the stone face needed fixing and was not constructed in the way were promised or in the way contracted/paid for. Over the course of the time leading to the present, Winton has sent 1 contracting crew who were not all qualified to fix the issue (he was a roofing contractor) and emailed me maybe 3-4 times regarding this issue. Winton has ignored my phone calls, emails, and texts only up to this point where they refuse to fix the stones that they neglected to construct correctly in the first place. It’s only a matter of time before all of the stones fall off, and Heaven forbid it hits someone on the way down. I want what I was promised and what I paid for.
