On Friday morning, June 7, 2024, I took my 2019 ***** Silverado Trail Boss to the Mission Chevrolet service department because it was downshifting so hard it would knock and had trouble shifting from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd gear. I knew my truck was still under the powertrain's factory warranty, seven years or ******* miles. ********************** explained that for the dealership to give me a rental, my truck would have to be diagnosed to confirm the warranty covered the problem. ********************** also explained there were approximately seven vehicles ahead of me. He then handed me his card with a ticket number and told me to call him within a few days to get an update. I contacted ********************** on June 11, 2024, to inquire about an update on my truck and am still waiting for an answer or response to my voicemail. I again reached out on the 12th and 13th, but I was waiting for an answer or callback from **********************. On the morning of the 14th, I called again, and like before, there was no answer, so I had my wife drive me to the dealership to get an update in person. ********************** then explained that my truck hadn't been diagnosed, and four vehicles in front of my truck were waiting to be diagnosed. I told ********************** that I had five highly active kids who engaged in extracurricular activities and couldn't go without a vehicle for much longer. Also, my wife and I are disabled veterans, and we can't keep canceling and rescheduling our VA appointments because they are challenging to get, especially for special appointments. Moreover, I had to cancel multiple job interviews and have been waiting to call back. It's June 24, 2024, and ************************************************ a phone call regarding the status of my truck. I find it hard to believe seven vehicles can't be diagnosed to identify the issues. This process is being dragged along to have me take my vehicle to another ***** dealer so that a rental vehicle won't come at the cost of the dealership itself.

Almost a year ago we bought a "Pre Certified" used 2021 ***** Tahoe. We haven't even put 8 thousand miles on it and the brakes malfunctioned. We went out of town and had to hit the brakes harder than normal and the suv started screeching. We took it to get looked at and were told the brake pads were old and not new as we were first told when we first bought it. So much for "pre certified". We had a to change all 4 brakes so we could travel back safely and went to Mission Chevrolet to let them know about them selling us a vehicle in that condition. They keep arguing that the brakes were broken by the mechanic who was doing the inspection on them when we took it to get serviced. Mechanic did verify that the rotors were in fact changed and new when we first bought the Tahoe, BUT the brake pads weren't! Service manager at Mission Chevrolet, *********************************** argues that the design of the old brakes pads is the way they should look. All paperwork says the brakes were in "good" condition. The numbers on paper have a 9 for all pads. We don't know how those numbers work but we know that 8 thousand miles is NOT going to destroy them that quick. It should have normal wear and tear but these are literally BROKEN! They put our lives at risk!! Since they don't want to make this right we will take it further and will make sure to let people know about the jobs/service they're doing!

The Customer came to us showing the Brake Pads which did have plenty of friction material left. I asked the Customer if a Diagnosis was provided, she said that the friction lining on the front pads were broken. The fact of the matter is that we do not know if the "Broken" pads took place while the brake pads were being replaced at the other facility. I asked the customer what defect caused the friction lining on the brakes to crack? The only response was that the Service Facility replaced them due to the cracks without an explanation as to how they got cracked.

Brake pads are a wear item and as the customer stated they purchased the vehicle last July and did not have any issues until this trip, as stated by the Customer.

On March 04, 2023 I took in my ***** truck in for a routine oil change. This is the second time they have not properly serviced my vehicle. The first time I figured it was an incompetent technician , totally understandable they fixed it after I took it back. This time after waiting two hours for an oil chance my engine started losing power and lights came on after they reassured me it was good to go and it won't be a repeat of the first mistake. After receiving the truck the second time, an hour later, they yet again reassured me it was good to go. After driving away the tire pressure light came on and that is yet another disappointment. I understand stuff happens and they could've issued a refund for the, now, third mistake in services. Before leaving, there wasn't a supervisor willing to speak to us nor was there one willing to accept a phone call. Not sure who else to reach out to. But management refuses to take my call. Please assist.

On May 05, 2022 I picked up my 2015 ***** Silverado from Mission Chevrolet after getting the condenser replaced due to the A/C no longer cooling. I also had the brake pads replaced and rotors resurfaced for a total of $1,581.32. Five months later In October 2022, I started having problems with the radiator fan turning on full throttle and it wouldn't turn off, even after shutting down the truck. Due to some financial issues I couldn't afford to get the truck to the shop until January 23, 2023. Once at the dealership I was informed that the oil cooler was bad, causing transmission oil to get into the cooling system. In order to get this fixed they would have to replaced the radiator, all hoses, coolant reservoir, thermostat sensor and thermostat housing assembly for a total of $3800 including labor. Obviously this was an outrageous amount and decided to pick up my truck and work on it myself. On January 28, 2023 I started working on my truck. After pulling the radiator out I noticed that the new condenser was damaged as shown in the images that I have included. In front of the condenser I also noticed that a plastic cover that appears to be the radiator plastic seal had been cut in half. It has a clean cut on top and bottom and one of the half was just dropped in there they didn't even attempt to secure it back on the frame. I would've never noticed all of this if I hadn't start working on it myself. It's outrageous that I was charged $630 in labor just for the replacement of the condenser and that's the type of work I get. I contacted the dealership the following Monday on January 30, 2023 to inform them about the problem. I spoke to ************** and informed him about the situation. I was out of town at the time I spoke to ***** so Today February 7, 2022 I stopped by the dealership showed him the pictures. He referred me to ************************ the manager but he would not be in until Thursday 07, 2022 and that they would call me.

I have met with ********** and he shared with me that his concern is that during the replacement of his radiator that he was doing the work on he noticed that the A/c condenser has a portion that appears to be damaged. I had our Parts Manager call Gm on this issue and Gm has a document about this Part number and that this Part has a small saw cut and that this is how the condenser was made and is not an indication of a defect. I had asked him how the A/c is working and he informed me that the A/c was performing well, his issue is the appearance of the condenser.

We purchased a certified used 2018 Silverado from Mission on 12/18/2021. I traded my 2014 Silverado in. The agreement with the salesman was I would receive $20,000 for my trade and Mission would pay remaining loan on trade in $1,900. What was sent to financing was the $1,900 got deducted from the $20,000. So in total I actually only received $18,000 for my trade. Unfortunately I didn't catch the error while in financing. I've talked to *********** who actually agreed over the phone that it was equity I was due. Then the manager ****** talked with the *** I'm being told basically there's nothing they can do. I've been a long time customer of **********************. I bought my first vehicle from them in ****. I've purchased three other vehicles from them since. I'm just asking them to honor the agreement made between the salesman and myself. There was a paper signed that shows all the correct numbers, it shows the original offer of $18,500 for my trade in crossed out and $20,000 written above. Written below is the $1,900. The salesman said Mission would be paying that amount.

I, ***************************, General Sales Manager, have thoroughly investigated this issue. I have found that **************** did trade in a 2014 Silverado. He was offered $20,000 for his trade in but there was a balance on the trade in. Systemically, **************** is correct. He was offered $20,000 for the vehicle but **************** still owed a balance on the vehicle needed to be satisfied. We at Mission Chevrolet record each transaction and I personally verified that everything was presented in a forthcoming fashion. We do apologize for any misunderstanding on the part of ****************. We always strive to provide the best customer service.

      Regards,

      ***************************

      Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: ***************/Mission Chevrolet is putting the burden of paying off remaining balance on the trade in on myself. Who would agree to payoff their trade in and buy a new vehicle? The deal that was made with *********** was for Mission Chevrolet to payoff the remaining balance on the trade in. The verbiage being used is it what makes it sound like Mission is in the clear. The paper I signed with ********* shows the three dollar amounts of $18,500 / $20,000 / $1,950. The $18,500 was original offer for trade in but ********* gave me $1,500 more to make it the $20,000. The $1,950 was explained as to be paid by Mission Chevrolet. I signed that paper. All I'm asking is for Mission to value/honor the agreement as it was. Unfortunately on my part I didn't catch the error while going through financing, partially excited for new vehicle and partially exhausted from being at the dealership for several hours. I've been a loyal customer since **** when I purchased my first s-10 from Mission. I've since purchased 3 other vehicles as well as referred both my parents to purchase their vehicles from Mission. It's hard to believe Mission strives for customer satisfaction after going through this ordeal. I know losing me as a customer won't break **********************, so just a heads up for anybody looking to buy from Mission, read everything and verify the deal. They got me and I'm sure I'm not the first or the last but hopefully somebody reads this and it helps them.
