Refrigeration Express installed a Refrigerated Air system in my home on 7/21/23. Workers were working on roof, back yard, front yard and inside my home. I heard a very loud noise and noticed that a worker was throwing pieces of metal the old air conditioner from the roof on the front lawn. I immediately turned my cameras back on and noticed that another older worker said something to him. When I returned from the bank with payment in hand, the first thing I noticed was that there were 2 visible holes (approximately 2 quarter sizes) in my turf. The technician was wetting a yellow rag from my front water spout and had obviously tried to clean up a spill on the inside of the hallway where he was working on my dark wood floors. When he was ready to collect the cashiers check I had for $7,100 I showed him the damage to the turf, he said he could not respond to that, only a supervisor could. I told him to have a supervisor meet with me or call me first before I turned in the check. *****, the owner herself called me and said it was not fair for me not to pay her because they did a lot of work for just a little hole on the turf. I advised her that I have cameras and talked to my nephew who had just cleaned the yard 2 days before and ***** technician who had just sprayed the yard the day before and the damage was not there beforehand. She stated that she could send one of her employees (**************** who worked in construction before and knew how to install turf go fix it. Her employee (****************) did swing by, looked at the damage, he measured the are and the entire front yard and asked to see the extra turf that I advised I kept from the original turf that was installed approximately 3 years ago. He talked on the phone and then came back to ask to see the extra turf again and cut a piece from it to take with him. I advised him that the grass was with 15 year warranty, it was a very good job and I did not want a bad patchy looking job on there because it is in front of the door. He asked how much it cost and when it was originally installed. I gave him the wrong info because I did not remember off the top of my head but, found my receipts and turf warranty about an hour later. I sent pictures of receipt and warranty to *****. I texted her again and she stated she had contacted the original installers from the pictures that I sent here but had not heard back from them. I eventually contacted the installer myself after not hearing anything back and he said that he was charging $500 and sent me an invoice. I sent the invoice to ***** however, she said he needed to send it to the company name not my name and he told here he was charging her $345. I asked if I could look around for recommendations to see if I could find someone else because rain was in the forecast, I dont know if screening underneath the damaged turf was also affected and I dont want weeds to start growing in the middle of the turf once it starts to rain. She said that would be fine. Later. I asked if **************** did not feel confident to fix it and she said yes, he could fix it. She has been going back and forth with texts and not meeting expectations or her responsibility to damage her employees caused. It has already begun to rain on the damaged turf (possibly the screening underneath) and has not had the turf fixed as of 8/9/23. I would like to have the turf fixed or a $500 reimbursement from the damage her employees caused so that I can pay someone myself to fix my turf.

My elderly mother and father-in-law use this company for HVAC service. Their AC system was blowing hot air so they called them to have this looked at and fixed. The technician that came out was inexperienced. She didnt even know how to remove the panels to open the unit, she was on a personal call the entire time she was working on the unit after an extensive amount of time she was unable to explain which part was replaced or repaired to get the unit working properly. My father-in-law asked multiple times while she was there to see the part , and she would give some excuse and start doing something else and never showed it to him. First, she said it was a hard start issue, which does not affect air temperature. Then it was a capacitor, but could not explain what was actually replaced. She then proceeded to give them a $270 bill but when they asked for the receipt or an invoice was told that could not give it to them and that it would be emailed to them later. When the invoice was sent, all it showed was labor plus part for $270 did not give the part name part number description. They called the office asking for an explanation of the part that was replaced and again was given the runaround, when they asked to speak to a supervisor or manager, they would not let them. They advised that someone would look into it and give them a call back, they never received any calls back. They end up going into the office on May 17 to look into this and was told that the part was thrown away. But then after they visited the office, a picture was sent of a part stating that the technician took a picture of it, yet the picture showed it in a mans hand when the technician that came out was a female. My father-in-law was able to contact the parts distributor and verified that the item was covered under warranty and should not have been charged for parts. Horrible company, horrible customer service, and targeting elderly people and taking money away from them.

Customer called for a unit not cooling. A call was scheduled for a diagnostic charge of $90 plus repairs. Technicians found a bad capacitor. Technician told customer it would be $180 to replace capacitor. Customer agreed to get capacitor replaced. Technician proceeded to replace capacitor. Checked unit and unit was now cooling properly. Customer paid with a Mastercard a total of $270 including the diagnostic.Customer called several days later asking for the capacitor that was removed. We explained we throw away all parts removed. It would be impossible to keep all the old parts. The customers focus this day was to get the old part and even insinuated that we probably did not replace it. We explained we have pictures of the unit and the part that was replaced and emailed them a second time. It seemed this day that customer has trust issues and now the daughter was getting involved claiming that we were taking advantage of her elderly parents.**************** and her husband came to our office Friday, May 17 to explain why they wanted the part back. They showed us a certificate that shows the unit should be under warranty. They told us they were calling a specific supplier and we told them we had a great relationship with them. That it wouldn't be that hard to get the part under warranty. This day we understood the reasoning behind and we offered to help. They were told we would do our own research to claim the capacitor under warranty and we would call them to give them an update. Supply houses close on Saturdays and Sundays. We provided model and serial number to the supplier they told us they would get back with us. We got the call back this morning to learn the unit is ******* and no longer sold in ******* however they were going to help us get another capacitor if needed. ** **** ***** ** ****** ** ** **** ******* ** ******* ********* ******* *** *** ******* ** ****** *** *** **** ******* *** *** ******** ** *** ****** ********* ** **** **** * ******* *** ********* We were trying to help **************** and her husband, as they were told, to get credit on the part installed. The diagnostic and labor charges are not refundable.
