I purchased three stools from Elegantbars.com on October 4th, 2020 in the amount of $1,587.51. One of the chairs arrived severely damaged. Consequently, I called to have the three stools be returned. I was asked to dispose of the damaged one and followed a process for returning the remaining two. I decided to return the remaining two because i could not believe how bad the stool was and i realized i was not dealing with a reputable company. I was NOT told about a return charge. I learned of the charge when I looked at my bank account and realized ********************** only reimbursed me $1,297.31. They told me the one-way shipping policy is online. I did not see it at the time of the order, nor was I told of the charge on the phone. The policy is online, but its not apparent and I feel like it should have been bold or larger lettering. I believe I was misled and they are not fully transparent on something that is very pertinent to the purchase. I also dont believe I was subject to the charge, especially because they sent me defective material. I have pictures and emails that I can share. I will be glad to share/explain more if needed. Customer was reimbursed for the stools and only was billed for the shipping charges back to our warehouse. Our policies are displayed clearly on our website and we follow ****** guidelines to make sure our policies are public knowledge and people can make an informed decision when buying from our online store. We are not profiting off of this customer, we have issued the refund of the stools, offered free shipping in the first place and did not charge a re-stocking fee as per our product page shows. Nowhere in our website does it show we offer free returns. Every single product is labeled with our shipping policies. We recommend the customer reads shipping policies when buying online to prevent future problems. If the customer would have kept the two non-damaged bar stools we would have sent a fourth one for free to replace the damaged unit.
