I went in to get my cars break pads replaced and Martin Tire created a report after inspecting my car that said I only needed the break pads replaced. A salesperson named ***** called me after I received the report link through text and ***** stated that the rotors needed to be replaced. I told him that I did not want the rotors replaced so ***** stated that the warranty will be voided because I dont want to or need to buy new rotors. So I decided to pick up my car but was charged $80 for the oil change that was to be included in the break pad replacement which I ended up not agreeing to but they snuck that service in there as well as I had only agreed on the inspection and nothing else. I did not sign anything authorizing service done to my car. When I drove off I noticed that now both rotors are scraping after their inspection so I dont know what they did to the other pad that was left. Horrible service and very shady.

To Whom It May ******************** style="font-size: 0.875rem;">We have attempted to reach out to the customer and will refund the oil change. As for the brakes he mentioned we advised to the customer about the brakes needing to be changed soon because he was starting to hear a noise. In the DVI report we did state the pads were at 1mm.

The customer has agreed to meet me at the shop to look at his brakes together and discuss the next steps. He did not call me back to confirm.

      Sincerely,

I needed a CV axle half shaft installed. A third party was to pay the bill, they did. But between the third party and ***** the Mgr (at the Talbot location) it was decided that no new CV shaft would be installed. Martin charged just for labor and the third party got a bargain. The repair failed because Martin Tire and the third party agreed to a shoddy repair and reuse the damaged CV Axle. I have had nothing but trouble ever since. Martin Tire is no longer ******* owned. They are corporate owned and appear to have allegiance to the bottom line, not *******. Martin Tire has the gall to send me mailers so that I can get work done there. ST*P sending me those mailers. No one at Martin has ever made an effort to refund the payment made, T* ME, or compensate me for Martin Tire and ***************************** DBA Big * Tires in ************* using me as a guinea pig.!Shame on Y*U!****** ( District Manager) you know my phone # and the whole story, why have you played possum about this issue? Also, Big * Tires in ************* ( your accomplice) should not receive a credit on their credit card. A full refund including the cost of a new CV axle shaft should be paid directly to me as I have encountered the cost of the repair and the cost of a new CV Shaft.

These are the original invoices. Daniel, I spoke to Kristi Peterson this morning, she has not spoken to Jaime (store) Manager or his accomplice Russell Hammond of Big O Tires. Those conversations need to take place and we all need to know why Russell and Jaime did not replace the CV Axle and why they just cleaned it up and reinstalled it. Also the signatures on the invoices are not mine _ I spoke to you and Jaime about this. I also request that whomever answers this complaint identify yourselves _ if you answer this complaint_Daniel, Kristi, Vice President (fill in name) etc...

      To whom it may concern,

No service has ever been performed on this vehicle, other than a repair on an issue caused by Discount Tire, which was paid for by *************** Tire, with whom we are not affiliated, dropped his vehicle, which caused damage. We replaced a clamp and a bolt; no other repairs were done by us. Therefore, we cannot reimburse him as he has only ever worked with us in order to involve us in his suit against other organizationsand they have been the ones to pay us for repairs.

In reference to the store manager, ****** has been very accommodating in working with this customer but had to remove himself from conversations with this customer when he began discussing his plans to take legal action against the other tire companies.

In regard to the store mailers, we have submitted a request to remove ****** from our database. Please note that it can ***********-8 weeks for the request to be processed.

      Thank you,

I am rejecting this response because:

      Dear claims responder.

Martin tire has committed negligence by doing a shady tree repairj putting my safety at risk as well. You and Big O conspired to use damaged parts after being aware of the severity of the damage involved at Discount Tire. Someone at Martin Tire forged my signature on the invoices at your store. That has never been explained to me.  As to my car being "dropped" at Discount, Irazarma from AAmco has been spreading this filth all over the internet. Discount Tire and myself are in negotiations at this time. This issue has been brought up, they have surveillance of the property. I have never said to anyone that my car fell of of  a lift, a cliff or that who started this rumor fell on their head. Not only are you involved in this but big o, discount, aamco and possibly oreilys.  My car is damaged, all of you are playing games. The thing that will settle this is a Court of Law.

This response if from ***************************** DBA ********** in ********* ******** to the ******** Attorney General. ******* describes faulty workmanship that can only be one of two shops. Martin Tire or AAmco. I believe that he is talking about Martin Tire as AAmco was not part of this inquiry. You have no ally in Big O. I will be filing a complaint with the ***** ATTORNEY General. I will give ***** AG all the information in my investigation, and may the chips fall where they may. including the CO ATTY GEN information I have.

I am rejecting this response because:

Someone at Martin Tire forged my signature on the invoice.

You downplay the work you did on my car. You say you installed a radiator clamp to the suspension and a bolt.

My car arrived on a wrecker.

The damage was self evident, I also described what happened to you in detail  - I witnessed the events at Discount Tire. My car did not fall off of ********.

The description on the work order states you installed a cv boot, You removed a CV axle, and Removed and Replaced a lower control arm.

It also stated that you did an alignment on the car.

Now where did you use a radiator clamp on the suspension? This bolt that you speak of where did you put that, did a bolt fall off of the car?

      Please explain...

      Customer response

      04/04/2024

This is the state of the lower control arm at Martin Tire. I also explained that I witnessed the CV axle completely pulled off from the transmission. Discount Tire in haste reassembled my car (no mechanic was present at Discount) and pushed my car to the parking lot, so they could continue operations. My car was taken to Martin Tire on a TOW Truck. I returned to your shop for reassessment of your shoddy work on 06/01/23, you then said that a new CV shaft should have been installed as evidenced by the second invoice included in the *** below. ***************************** from Big O tires was made aware of this. I have written evidence of this. This is a major breech of trust. You have committed Deceptive Trade Practices, along with willful negligence.
