************** stopped at my parents home in *******, ** where we had a vintage Shasta RV that we were working on converting into a mobile bar. My parents gave him my number, he wanted to purchase the trailer but said he has a business where he restores vintage trailers. I agreed to hire him to work on restoring the trailer. In my conversation with *************, we talked about getting the trailer structurally sound. This included the water damaged roof, the floor and other non working parts to the trailer. We mentioned that we had a budget and would consider repurposing some parts. ************* sent us reciepts, pictures and an invoice of what he did. We live in **********, ** so all we had go by was his pictures and his word. We paid him **** 06/2/2023 and he gave us a deadline of 07/08/23. We did not come up with this deadline, he did. His total cost would be ******* on delivery. We mentioned that we would be in town to see it in Aug and that we would contact him with any concerns. It had rained the week before and the work that he had done was rushed and cheaply done. The vent that he had installed; where there was water damaged before leaked, so the water damaged the roof, the walls, the floor and the counter top. The work that he said he did was poor and did not hold up more than two months. The paint job that he did was not done properly, he painted over old damaged paint so the paint is now chipping. The floor was not stable, it was now damaged with water but also had not been secured as promised. The rear lights were installed but were hitch lights that were not protected, they were not up to code. Under the trailer there were new boards just shoved into spots not attached at all. We called ************* he did not listen to our concerns, we went around pointing out work we paid for but was done in a unprofessional manner. We emailed him with a refund request, he responded with wanting to repair it. We do not trust his work.
