I live in *********, **. My 98 year old father lives in ******* and I manage his health care. I ordered three medical transports for doctor's ************ for my dad for April 26, 27, 28th. Their policy is not to charge for the transportation until the patient actually enters the vehicle and you can cancel up to an hour before the appointment. I checked my credit card transactions on April 19th and noticed a transaction for $514 from SQ* *****************************. I called the fraud department from my credit card and was told the charge was from *******. Then I knew it was Helping Hands. With the representative from fraud on the line, I called the company and i was told we would not be charged until my father entered the van. I told them my father has not moved out of his bed for 6 months but he wanted to try to make the ************. The Helping Hands person said no problem to cancel. When I arrived in *******, it was clear my father could not go to the ************ because his legs do not work. He was put on ********** care on Monday April 25th. On that day, I cancelled all three ************ and I was told no problem they understood. When I returned home, I checked my credit card, and noticed I was charged $514 on April 19th, a week before I even arrived in *******. Every phone call I made to the company, I was told it would be taken care of, the bookkeeper was sick, I would get an email, and not to call my credit card company. I finally did and now Helping Hands is not cooperating with my credit card company. Everything was done on the phone so I do not have any receipts, invoices but they do have my credit card number.
