We called Chill Air HVAC/R owned by ******************* to come and service our AC on 8/12/22 per authorization thru our home warranty. ******************* came out to our property on 8/12/22 to diagnose problem and rewired outside unit temporarily to have ac. it worked for about 2 hours and shut off. ************ came out again on Saturday and rewired attic unit as well to temporatily work. It worked for about 3 hours and then it shut off. ************ needed to contact AHS with estimate and did not do it till I called him on monday on a 3 way call with AHS. 3 Parts were approved with 4 lbs of refrigerant. Refrigerant out of pocket for us was $280. Parts available on Mon. 8/15/22 and ************ arrived at 7-8:00pm. Worked in the dark and blew our thermostat out that we did not have any issues before his visit. He agreed to replace thermostat. Came back to property on 8/15 with thermostat /dropped thermostat in presence thermostat not working and ended up puncturing a line and freon escaped. We all decided at that point it was best to get a second opinion. We had our unit repaired with documentation stating what all needed to be done in order to fix. Most issues caused by ************. Another thermostat was purchased from second tech to get ac running. WE need receipt for nest thermostat from ************ and refund for refrigerant that was not put in but charged us for. ************ hostile in text and we resorted to BBB. *** has reached out to him as well on 8/22 & 8/23 for this request. Disappointed how things turned out with ************ and feel confident that we made best choice to seek second opinion for repair. We can provide texts and documentation of conversation with ************, myself, and my husband. Grateful that our unit was fixable after ************ caused major issues. Total amount we paid to ************ $1208.34...other charges on bill were not approved by AHS. Approx. $718 not covered. Charged for freon and thermostat need money back.
