      One of the employees damaged my personal property while here for landscaping. The employee acknowledged what he had done and then challenged me to prove it to the owner - the employee had dropped a strand of new and intact industrial string lights that had been sitting on my concrete patio which broke multiple light bulbs. I reported this to the owner and business two different times and was told I would be compensated for the damage. I didnt pay the invoice until the damages were paid or discount was applied - now they are charging me a late fee in addition to another months proactive charges for August. I asked again to be compensated and the owner now claims the employee did no damage and he does not owe me for my claims. I would like the BBB to help resolve again this issue as I feel ripped off given I have damages that I have to pay out of pocket.

      To whom it may concern:

       

      Lucianos Landscape & Design serviced the  home of *********************** for yard maintenance. The maintenance crew arrived at the home of *********************** and as usual always checks yard to make sure there is no obstacles in the yard that might get damaged during the process. On the date of service the crew noticed a strand of lights that were fallen from the trees and proceeded to picked them and put them by a concrete area close to the tree where they were found. Later that day *********************** called me (*********************) and mentioned that the crew had moved the lights and that they were very careless and that they had damaged the lights, I asked the crew about the situation and concern *********************** had about what had happened to the lights. The crew stated that the lights had fallen off(not while they were there) and thats how they were when they found them, so they cautiously picked them up and put them to the side so they could do their job.

      I ********************* told the customer that it wasnt my guys and to avoid having the customer upset I ********************* mentioned to the customer (in order to not make her upset) that it was no problem we could replace the bulbs. I ********************* mentioned that could go by and see which type of bulb it was, ********************* proceeded to say that it was no need for me to go by, that she would find them and let me know when she did how much they were and that we could pay for them.

      I ********************* waited quite sometime for her to get back to me, she never did, until the day she called wanting to cancel the service because she was receiving late fees from not paying her **** on time was one month behind on payment. *********************** at the time stated that she shouldnt have to pay any late fees because she hadnt had her lights replaced. I ********************* mentioned to *********************** that she never reached back out to us for the price of the lights as she said she would. At this point *********************** got upset, I ********************* mentioned to her that she did not have to pay one of the 2 months that she owed(as courtesy to her and for the lights)and that we would like to keep her as a  customer and if she could please pay one of the months. *********************** stated that she would not pay and that she would file a complaint on Lucianos Landscape & Design and proceeded to hang up.

       

      I ********************* would like to mentioned that we did have records of the conversation that took place via tex-message. My phone got water damage and had to be replaced there for loosing all the information. I believe I can get records from AT&T if needed.
