Bought a used/salvage motor for a 2013 ***** Cruze that was not good. Motor had a 30 day warranty. Bought 1.4 *********** for a 2013 ***** Cruze on August 09,2023 Paid $1,500.00 cash (have receipt)Within 2 days of receiving motor at the car shop, I call Mr. ******************* to let him know the mechanic said the motor was not good, Mr. ****** said he would pick it up and find me another motor, days passed and he kept promising, after a while he will not answer my calls or messages. He has mentioned many times that he's very busy, towing cars or hasn't had time to pick up his damaged non working motor. I've had to call on friends to call him to give me an update on the motor that I need. He still promises to others, but will not return my calls or texts. I also sent text and whatsapp messages and he answered a few at the beginning, I have the proof of the calls, messages, whats app. messages and several audios, a couple of conversations and other audios of his phone ringing but not picking up. Cant leave phone messages, his mailbox is full. I also have pictures of the motor, I went to the JDA Auto Ranch and took pictures, paid the cost and received a receipt for purchase. I also went to the mechanics shop to have the mechanic speak to Mr. ****** and discuss why the motor is not good. I also took pictures and video of the motor. The motor is damaged beyond repair, has rust in the heads and other areas, per the mechanic; the motor had water seeped in previously and insist the motor had also been overheated previously before it arrived at his shop. I offered Mr. ****** in finding someone with a truck and bring the motor to his location. I need my vehicle for work and I haven't been working since my car broke down, I have had to Uber a few times and Its gotten to the point where i cant afford Uber. Im not asking for the Uber fees at this time, but I would like Mr. ******************* to give me a refund for the purchase of the motor. ******************* contact number is ************Business response

*** signed and acknowledged the receipt, just like every salvage yard we do not give cash refunds we give store credit. I do not warranty gaskets just like all other salvage yards. I can not just snap my fingers and find another engine, it takes time and just like I have told ******** will find another engine, I am doing so. *** was also required to return core 10 days after purchase or warranty is voided and failed to return core. The picture and video that were provided proves nothing, that can be **** old engine for all I know I **** all parts sold from my salvage yard, the picture and video does not show proof that it is my engine for all we know that could be her old engine.Initial Complaint

On August 18th they sold me a rear differential for my truck, for $1000. After the part was installed, I noticed it was making a grinding noise. So I called and let them know about the issue. They said they could swap it out for another one but they didn't have one available at the time, so all they could offer was store credit. I didn't need store credit from them. So I offered to take it somewhere to get it repaired and they would simply pay for the repair cost, but they declined. So I had no choice but to wait till they had another one available. 5 weeks later, I called and all the sudden the owner is a mechanic and offers to fix it himself under warranty. So I bring it back to his business on Sep 23rd. I call the following week so ask for updates and turns out he took it to some guy, not a shop, just some guy who works on stuff at home. Rather than letting me take it to a professional shop that specializes in differentials. So 2 weeks go by and I call again, the business owner at JDA auto ranch says its probably finished and that he'll deliver to me friday Oct 7th, he didn't do I call Saturday, also couldn't because something happened to his house supposedly. Which is understandable. So I wait till Monday, and all the sudden my differential still isn't finished...I called Wednesday, Oct 12th and they said it was finished and the guy who worked on it was gonna call me. The guy never called, and the people at JDA auto ranch did not want to give me his phone number. So I call Thursday and finally they gave me his number, I called him, but not answer. I called Friday Oct 14, and turns out he's still NOT finished..... It has been a total of 8 weeks now, my truck has been sitting, immobile, I had no transportation for a few days, I had to borrow a friends car. Who is needing his car back. So, at this point I just want my money back from this business, $1000 so I can look elsewhere and purchase another differential. This place isn't answering my calls now.
