I have been a customer of Tokyo Town Swedish Auto for approximately 2 years. Last week I called them to schedule an oil change and tire rotation. I was scheduled by the administrative assistant I have dealt with on every occassion. Just prior to ending our call, she advised me that they had moved locations and were recently bought out by Japanese Auto Repair. She gave me the new address and that was the end of the conversation.Today, 12/5/22, I arrived at Japanese Auto Repair and was greeted by the same admistrative assistant I spoke with on the phone and who I have dealt with for the past 2 years. I relinquished the keys to my vehicle and was instructed to relax in the waiting area. Approximately, 1 hour later I was told that my vehicle was ready. A male employee me rang me up and advised the charge for the oil change and rotation was $158.29. I was shocked. I stated that this was double what I normally paid with Tokyo Town Swedish Auto. He said nothing and instructed me to insert my credit card. I did so, but again stated this was insane and that no one had told me that the price of the service had changed that drastically. He again stated that those were the charges. He asked me to hold a minute and went into the garage area and came back with the retort that he was sorry no one told me the amount, but that was the charge and he could give me $15 off my next appointment. I advised I was unhappy with this response and would not be returning for any further auto service here. For reference, a check of my credit card statements revealed all previous oil change and tire rotation services with Tokyo Town Swedish Auto was for the amount of, approximately, $83.46.Business response
