On 6/20/23, Best Price Movers was hired to move my personal belongings. Not only did they show up past the agreed upon arrival time, I later learned that they began charging me for the time that they spent circling my apartment building looking for a place to park, as when the time came to finalize the cost of the move, they tried to add in almost an extra hour and a half of time they did not work- They took a full hour for lunch and tried to claim they took half an hour, and at the beginning of the day they had been circling my apartment for about half an hour before they started working and tried to charge me for it because they were "there". The total that they tried to charge me was close to $875 before I called them out on this fraud and they changed the final total to $686.In addition, they damaged multiple pieces of my furniture that are less than a year old, which I have attached pictures of. When I spoke with the manager/owner about this, his resolution was going to cause me to go through multiple hoops and complete multiple forms, obtain multiple estimates to go to even begin to get my money back on the damage they did. He said there was inventory forms I should have of all of my belongings, that I never received during the move process. Essentially, to make it so difficult that I would drop the issue.Lastly, I reached out to the business recently on 9/7/23 because I need a copy of my invoice from my move, and have been unable to receive any response via text or phone from this business after leaving multiple voicemails and text messages. As a business, it is their responsibility to respond to their customers and to provide me with the information that I am requesting about my move. They damaged my brand new furniture which I want to be compensated for, they tried to scam me, and now they refuse to respond as a business. They need to be reported so they do not treat others this way, and I wish for this to be made right.Customer response

In response to the inquiry regarding whether or not the business has been in touch with me regarding my complaint, or have they made efforts to address my concern, the answer is no. I have received no communication from the business whatsoever. Not only this, prior to filing my original Better Business Bureau complaint in September, I attempted to contact the business multiple times by phone and text and they did not answer the phone, they did not respond to any messages, and proceeded to ignore any acknowledgement for my requests for information, and no longer acknowledged me as a customer with a complaint in which follow-up was needed in any capacity. The business has been completely unresponsive for months. Please let me know if additional information is needed to continue the investigation of this complaint.

I wanted to follow-up regarding the Better Business Bureau's recent message to me regarding my complaint against Best Price Mover's, #********. To follow-up, no, I have not received a single response from the business- when I have reached to them to express my concerns, when I have asked for follow-up information- just as I have outlined in my complaint, nor have I received any follow-up from the business since filing my complaint. They have been absolutely silent, which I think is completely unacceptable. I think they are undoubtedly aware of what they have done and feel that they don't have to answer for their actions or face any consequences by their refusal to respond. I am willing to continue to persist as necessary, as this is one of the worst businesses I have ever encountered, and they need to be held accountable for their actions. Please let me know the additional information that is needed, and what the next steps are in the process.
