I hired Mustang Moving on 9/25/22. I was not made aware that their movers were contract workers who they allow to be uninsured. One of the workers smelled of weed. The same worker had an incident with my dog that I am taking care of through my home owners insurance. When I tried to contact the owner I was told not to "try and lay it on their feet" and that it "didn't count as a work place accident" that my dog got loose from our back yard and bit the worker after she perceived him as a threat. From my understanding in Texas it legally does. I have no issue taking care of my responsibilities but I do take issue with not being told that they contract out their work to people who are not insured and I was left having to work it out with the contract worker who was told by the company that they are not liable to help him. I feel like I should be refunded because they left my furniture unassembled and tore up one of my walls and because I am having to clean up a mess that they are also responsible for.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/10/10) */ Ms. ***** dog viciously attacked our mover while he was carrying her furniture. The dog should have been properly contained, but was not. There would be no issues at all had she been a responsible pet owner. We do use contract labor for moving. We nor any company is required to carry Worker's compensation in the State of Texas. Ms. ***** is misguided in her belief that Companies in Texas are required to carry Worker's Compensation. None of these other issues were present until after she emailed about her dog biting our Mover. She legally has 90 days to file any damage issues.
