We contacted k l electric to connect 2 generators. We paid the 50 % down payment but we are been trying to reach kl turner by email, phone and texts and simply do not reply, we need to know when the job will be completed

      Business response

      12/22/2023

We were contracted to wire two generators for Pinnacle Propane by *****************, we gave an estimate for time and materials and he agreed. As part of the contract he was to move generators to the job sites and and dig a trench to the motors that run the pumps. We have been contacting ***************** for the last two months asking for this first step on his part to be done to no avail. We met with our material representative to go over safety concerns for the job site and we were informed by ***************** that he was not going to trench and that we had to run pipe above ground the day before we were to start working. This changed the job completely because of the materials involved in a Class 1 Div 1 environment. We have to use specialized materials in a gas environment if you go above ground and these have to be ordered, changing the time frame, this is on top of the delay caused by ***************** not getting equipment in place and ready for us. We have documentation of our contact attempts with  ***************** and his lack of progress.

I am rejecting this response because:

Since the beginning of the process ****** is been telling me lies, she told me back on august the she ordered the parts and 6 months later we still waiting for the parts, the lack of progress on my side is due k l electric took months to send somebody to indicate the line where the trench should be done, i had to beg her to send somebody, and yes we made a change but since 2 months ago when i told her that we were ready and so far never send somebody to check if was correct, she told me again and again yes i will send somebody on the next week then the next week then 3 weeks ago **** ask me to meet him on Georgetown location not on ************, with his supplier the one who is going to sell the parts, same parts that suppose to be ordered 6 months ago, **** informed that was going to receive the part that week but did not happen because the part never ws received , he told for next week he even gave me a tracking number which was no valid tracking number, the he told me for 12/27 since he was going to receive the part on 12/26, on 12/22 **** texted me asking for the specs of the equipment that was going to be set, info required to order parts, same parts that supposed to be ordered 6 months ago, i asked ***** on 12/26 if now that they received the part they were going to come on Wednesday 12/27 but now she came with the excuse that is checking some info and she cant tell me when the job is going to be completed, yes i made a change but the are aware of the change for the last 3 weeks, how they still looking for information when they were ready since august and because of me the did not made any progress

it cant be my fault as ****** say since they were not ready with the parts, it cant be my fault when 6 months later **** is asking for the specification of the equipment that going to be set, how can be my fault when they had 3 weeks since were notified from the change and they still looking for information when the last 3 weeks they were very clear the they were only waiting for the missing part

and yes i have proof of all the vague answers and all the false promises made by ***** and ****

Now they decide not to answer my calls and or text stating the when they have any information they will reach me, the situation is that they have been  promising the same for the last 2 months and if i don't call them and get luck and they answer i don't have any new excuse

i just need the following question to be answered

1.- What is the information they are waiting for?

2.-Who need to provide that information?

3What is the real situation of the instllation?

4.- are they going to be able to make the job?

5.- do they have the knowledge to make thus job?

6.-WHEN THE *** IS GOING TO BE COMPLETED?

i dont think that as customer is asking to much to have this question answered

      Regards,

      ***************************

      Business response

      03/07/2024

In response to the disputed response from ******, here are the facts from our interactions with him.
      1. We accepted a job from Pinnacle Propane - ****** is our only known contact for the company.  The email address he used to file this complaint does not include the companies name which is the email we used to communicate with him.  Is he representing himself or the company he works for?
      2. Kent ********************** ordered parts from our supplier. This was August 2023
      3. The agreement to install a generator requires someone to install the fuel lines (usually a plumber) and an electrical company.  Both parties have to get permits.  We helped ****** through the permit process because Pinnacle Propane is doing the installation of the fuel lines.  We did require documents that all customers must provide to apply for a permit.  This process took from August to October to get what we needed for the permit.
      4. ****** was suppose to put the generator at the location they wanted it and dig a trench because the scope of work stated we would be running fuel and electrical underground.
      5. We did go out to ************ with a can of spray paint and marked where the trench needed to be dug.
      6. We were calling ****** to try and do one of the two jobs - we did not know a part we ordered had not come in.  The supplier did not tell us this was a problem
      7. Nov 13- ****** asked us to come do the job.  He was ready for us to come
      8. At this point we had a full schedule and could not schedule his job
      9. ****** called on Nov 14th -15th - 16th - 21st - 23rd but I had already told him it would be after Thanksgiving.
      10. On Dec 5th, ****** filed a complaint with BBB.
      11. We were scheduled to do the job Dec 12 / 13.  On Dec 11th, we asked ****** to meet us at Georgetown job site with our parts supplier.  This was when we found out that one part was still on backorder, preventing us from starting job.  We also found out that ****** decided to go above ground instead of below ground which changed everything from the parts we needed, the permit we had would have to be redone etc,. We were never informed about the changes.
      12. From this point forward, communication from and with ****** became excessive, unprofessional,  inappropriate comments were made, threats etc.   This is true for phone calls to the office, the owners personal number and text messages to both numbers.  On Dec 27th, ****** called 17 times and sent 10 text messages on that one day.
      13. We finally made the decision not to do these jobs.  We felt there would not be a good outcome and we terminated the job.  From July 2023 thru Jan 2024, our company spent a huge amount of time and money trying to work with ******.  We had ordered parts, payroll expenses, the owner and electricians time spent, permits and other incurred costs.  We did not lie about anything.  We were honest with ****** as we went through this process.
      14. I have all of this documented and it was sent to *************************** along with a letter stating we are terminating the job.
