On 09/17/22 I went in to the Today Dental at Haslet for a filling and a crown that was being re-done from a previous dentist's office years before. I was not told about any of the costs beforehand nor was I informed my insurance would not be covering the crown and all of this was out-of-network with my insurance. I was charged and paid $709.40 at the time of the visit on 09/17/22 and was told that the insurance may just need a few more days to process the claim, which is untrue since my insurance was never going to cover the full cost so the office made a false claim in the amount of $662.00 to my insurance saying I received a high noble crown which is false. My next appointment on 10/05/22 I was told that I have a remaining balance that insurance still hasn't paid on and I would need to make a payment that day since insurance was still pending so I made a payment of $150 and confirmed with my insurance, Metlife, that they processed a claim of $851.60 on 09/23/22 which would've covered any remaining balance. The office, without my consent or knowledge, made an unauthorized charge to my credit card that they must have saved (also without my consent) in the amount of $350.80 on 10/19/22. No warning, email, phone call, or voicemail was given and this is just a blatantly fraudulent transaction on their part.Business response

Patient paid what he said he initially paid, then spoke with office on 10/5/22 and She let him pay $150 and set up the remaining $350.80 on a recurring payment x 2. So the pt will still have an additional payment of $350.80 come out next week. The insurance actually did pay $662 on the crown on 9/23 we billed porcelain (****) they downgraded to high noble (****), it just looks like we haven't received the check yet so the pt will have a credit once we do.
