We have experienced significant financial hardship recently, which has led to falling behind on our truck payments. We have repeatedly attempted to pay the full past-due amount owed on our truck loan. We have always made our payments online, as it provides us with documentation to prevent fraud and maintain accurate financial records. Unfortunately, they insisted on payment methods that are not viable for us, including over-the-phone on an unrecorded line, without documentation and in-person where we do not reside.During our attempts to resolve this issue, on multiple occasions, we were interrupted and hung up on while attempting to explain why online payment was the only feasible option for us. Despite requesting to speak with a supervisor or manager, we were denied the opportunity. Moreover, they have threatened repossession of our vehicle, despite our efforts to prevent such drastic action. We have diligently responded to their communications, both through their website contact page and during phone conversations, yet they have continued to pursue repossession ignoring our attempts for resolution.Furthermore, we have discovered numerous complaints and reviews online regarding Auto Note Finance's shady business practices, including refusing to accept payments.Upon reviewing our contract, we have found no provision stating that payments must be made over the phone under any circumstance. We believe that their refusal to accept our online payments is a violation of our contractual agreement and constitutes unfair and deceptive business practices. Our previous request for documented proof via email, after insistence on processing a partial payment over the phone, was made with the intention of maintaining clear records. The failure to provide the requested documentation, raises further questions regarding the integrity of their transaction process. We believe that their conduct violates our rights as consumers as well as others.

These people contacted me last Friday and I made a payment arrangement with them to pay my vehicle. I had talked to them in April and told them I was a recent victim of domestic abuse and had been very violently attacked and that my husband had also taken all of my money. The guy I spoke with was kind and gave me some leniency. I didn't speak to them until last Friday. I told the lady I would make a 600 payment on Monday. She said they would call back Monday and I never heard from them. Meanwhile they took my vehicle from my apartments and now say I have to pay them ****. Which I don't have. I was evicted for being beaten by my husband and have to be out TODAY and these people took my vehicle and the entire time I received one phone call. One. They never called back to take payment WHICH I HAD TO GIVE THEM. ***** informed me that an auto pay had to have been setup but the woman had never told me that at all. No call. I had told them I would pay Monday and no one reached out.

Our donor donated her 2007 GMC Acadia, VIN: ***************** to us. Auto Note LLC is listed on MO title as lien holder. We both tried to get a paper lien release without success. I spoke to them on 4/18, 5/2, 5/11, 5/31 & 6/3/22 and I get transferred to a voice mail. I emailed ******************************************************************************************** on 4/18, 4/27, 5/11, 5/16, 5/19, 6/14, 6/15 & 6/27/22 but have yet to receive a reply. I emailed them a signed MO title and a Payment Receipt for $1,500 dated 4/5/19 that Owner sent us. On 4/18 they told me that if we have title that is proof that loan is paid. I replied that is only true with a TX title since they would sign on title. In MO lien is not released on title but rather on letterhead or State form. On May 2 they told me that my email was received but does not know how long it will take to process. On May 31 they told me that they are not sure if the $1,500 was paid or reversed. The **** has to look into it. On June 3 I was transferred to ****** voicemail and I left a message. They are not answering emails or their phone. All we need is a lien release and it can even be emailed to us since MO accepts copies. My email address is ***************** and our record # is *******. Thank you

We don't know who these people are, they seem like a good stand-up company who may be taking cars in as gifts or charity. But it does not allow us to just send a lien release to someone we have no association with. We have a customer name who owned this vehicle many years ago approximately 9 years ago.  We do not have, nor do we keep files for more than 5 years after loans are closed.  We do not know who gave them this car, we don't know how they obtained this car and the last information we had the customer paid us off but we show the title was a ***** title. They would not have it registered with us a lien holder in MO because we did not flip the title.

This place needs to have this customer who was our customer to call us ask for a lien release.

This is why its very important for customers to after paying off a loan and receiving title they remove us as lien holder by taking the document to the state and showing our lien release .

We do not have any contact with our last known customer and have not since 2014.  We cannot issue a lien release on something that we have no idea as to where, how or why this obviously good dead company received this car.  We cant just legally turn over a car to someone who is not or was not part of a contract with us.

I don't know if they are having problems getting in touch with the person who gave them the car or  how they got it, but we don't have any good or current information to contact that person (if it's our original customer)  We don't know if our original customer sold this car, gave it to someone and then that person then gave it to this company.  And at the end of the day, we are responsible to the customer we had on record. We cannot have another party insert themselves into the previous contract we had with our customer.

legally we can not just do this without some sort of validation from our original customer.

I think anyone would and should understand this.  And if it's a sold vehicle that has happened this place knows that no vehicles can be sold in any state without a title in hand.)  So I'm sure they are under pressure to produce something, possibly because it was sold to someone new, but again, we are not responsible for that.

We did what we needed to do with our customer when they paid the loan off. What happened after that is between our customer and this company if they are the party that gave it to them.

If they can have our customer to call us and give us the information we need for validation and once verified, we can then send the requested documents after investigation with the customer as to what happened with the title.  And we can send our original customer the lien release if requested.

I hope this clears this up once again and why we are just unable to send lien releases to parties who are not associated with us or have a contract with us without our customer of records consent
