12/29/2023 ON Dec 29 of 2023 I attended a free-trial class at Spenga of Saginaw. I had already let them know , in writing, before I attended that I had a shoulder injury. This shoulder injury happened in November and since had an ultrasound which concluded I didnt need surgery (12/8/23), but did in fact have moderate damage. Their high pressure sales signed me up with the promise I can cancel anytime within the first 30 days and receive a refund. Per the contract it says I can cancel only if I have attended 12 classes in the first month (I am not able to attend because I prematurely attended and I am not physically ready to use my shoulder as I was hoping). When I called to cancel and spoke to ************** was told she would take care of the cancelation and the charge would be refunded to my card, but that I should send an email so her boss had "proof". I was then contacted by ******* who offered to suspend my account at no charge for 6 months. I told her canceling was my best current option. I am not sure when I will be able to use my arm fully AND in 6 months I will be traveling for 2 months in South America. I am not able to move forward with getting my refund because I am not able to properly attend workout classes at this time without continuing to injure myself. It seems we are at an impasse and one trial class should not cost anyone $139.
