We just passed our 1 year **** living in our Brookson home and have had quite the experience. I would like to start with the positives. Our home does have a lot of "upgrades" that came standard and the sales agent was quite easy to work with on colors, floorplan changes and the options available to us, as we purchased the home as an inventory home, not from a dirt start. They were very helpful and kept us in the loop on the status of our home progress up until we moved in as we moved from another state. They allowed us to change the exterior colors, upgrade the kitchen and laundry room counters and make our back fencing a foot taller as we do have large dogs. I can tell you I felt very confident going into this with Brookson. However, once we signed our names on our closing documents and wired our funds, it all went downhill. The day we arrived at our home to move in we came to find hair all over the counters, dirty floors, the master bathroom was not cleaned at all, there were footprints of almost like a glue substance all over the floors, there were screws all over the place and the contractors had just left their mess for us to clean up? After a long drive and the simple exhaustion from moving, we were just beside ourselves. I called into the office and a short while after, a man with a container of Clorox wipes showed up at my door. He never introduced himself, just walked in and said "show me where the home is dirty". I walked him through the kitchen and to the master bath and he said it was fine to their standards and he would send a cleaner the next day. I pointed out some other issues we had found during our final walk through as well that had not been addressed including a very crooked wall in our 3rd bathroom that was clearly crooked and he said that this was normal as well and that not all wood framing pieces are straight. This man then ended up introducing himself to my mover as the owner of Brookson Builders, ******. For the owner of a smaller homebuild

We have addressed these items with this client a number of times. I personally went to the home to review the initial concerns. While the client did have a number of legitimate issues regarding the condition of the home when they closed, many of the concerns she expressed where items which are the normal standards of completion we exhibit in every home we build. We quickly addressed all legitimate and necessary items, and apologized for our teams failure to achieve the standards we expect the home to be at prior to closing. Most of the items had to do with cleanliness and a few cosmetic issues. Brookson Builders had and did comply with all contractual matters and delivered a home to our clients with all promised features and amenities. The other biggest item related to the condition of the trees and landscaping. All of which were completely addressed and repaired. This situation in our opinion was a one off item, which we apologized for and corrected.
