*******, the towing operator, was fantastic so fantastic that we entrusted him to take our ****** Tacoma to his shop instead of our previously chosen one on 5/22/2024. We told him it needed a battery, an A/C evaporator, and the old fuel to be drained, as it could not be siphoned. The next day, the head mechanic, ****************, called us and requested permission to drop the fuel tank to empty the fuel. We said of course, and he agreed to call us right back after he inspected the truck. After a day or so of no communication, I called and ******* answered. He said he would ask him to call. The long weekend passed. We called again. No word. Then we got a bill for around $4,400. We told them we had not authorized any of that work. They gave us another bill for $3,000. We told them to take it to another shop. They agreed to but did not oblige. Finally, they gave us a bill for $375 and said they had done a ton of work, and that a fair price would be $1,500. They said all the work on the original bill was done including a new fuel pump, an A/C evaporator with the fixed leak, new spark plugs, a new battery and filter, fresh gas, etc. They stated they took the bed off and pressure cleaned the fuel container. We happily paid the fair price of $1,500 on 5/29/2024. When we got home, we noticed unsealed plugs, A/C caps missing, the Freon left after a few days, no new evaporator, cob webs still on the fuel tank, misaligned spark plugs, plenty of evidence that most of the work that was done was never done. This company, from our perspective, is a snake pit of liars and thieves. They laughed at us, the owner (**********) screamed in my face (Im the wife), promised to reimburse us and then threw us out when we came to receive the promised reimbursement. They wont talk to us. Communication is horrible. We still have no A/C and were out $1,500. We figure they owe us $1,118.46.Business response

On May 12th, we called this business to fix our truck. They came out to our truck and fixed it and charged us $571. We questioned them on the price and they said that to come out to you, its a flat rate of $510 and the part was $61. At no time did they call and gave ** an estimate. When I called to ask them about it, they said since you did not ask we did not tell you how much you will be charged to come out. The manager then started to threaten me that if payment is not made he was going to tow my truck away. They have bad business practices and on top of it they are threatening their customers openly and aggressively. Not someone who should be in business and rip off customers. They should not be accredited by BBB. Customers have to be protected from businesses like these.Business response

Hello,
Your manager and driver verbally approved the services to be performed at the rate our dispatcher informed . Your staff was informed that it was a $510 service that entailed a service call fee, 2 hours of labor and a fuel surcharge. After they verbally approved our rate of service , we proceeded to perform the needed services. Services were then completed and then customer proceeded to not want to pay for the services provided. We had to constantly reach out to the customer over a 48hr period of time over the weekend to try and collect payment on a service provided by our company . The vehicle we performed service on was operational and fixed after our services. We can not help that the customers staff did not inform management of our mobile service rates. We were professional and non abusive at all times and never have had a complaint or issue. Any questions can be answered at ************ or email ** at ******************************************************
Best regards
