My house was damaged in a hail storm. Contracted with Anderson Roofing and Remodeling to repair the roof, gutters, and some interior damage. There was additional damage to exterior lights as well as some deck railing covered under insurance that I was replacing my self. After Anderson finished their portion of the repairs he gave me an invoice that I didnt realize (at the time) included the funds dedicated toward the exterior lights and deck railing. I wrote Anderson a check and once I settled up with my insurance, I realized I had been charged by Anderson for the lights and deck railing that they did not repair. I have contacted Anderson requesting a refund and they have ignored most of my request and refuse to discuss the differences in the insurance totals.Business response

Morning,
I have attached the paperwork from the ****** Home. Looking at the paperwork, **************** had mentioned the lighting and railing. That work is not included in our estimate. The estimate/signed contract does include the roof, a small amount of the fence, sheet rock in the garage and playroom and the garage door stain. We did ask **************** to provide the paperwork he stated he had and he refused multiple times. The amount **************** was charged was strictly for the work done.

I am rejecting this response because:As you can see from the attached estimate from my insurance, the three light fixtures on page 4 (3 x $389.30) and the deck rail on page 5 (1 x $314.63) were included in the amount paid to Anderson Roofing. Anderson roofing never completed that work and received payment for it. I would like reimbursement for the total amount $1483.53.

The attached the paperwork, **************** provided, is not paperwork from the insurance, it is Anderson Roofings paperwork. It does not indicate ANY lighting or railing work.
I previously attached the insurance papers from **************** insurance company, which does have the lighting and railing included, BUT it is NOT included in the contracted price **************** signed. It also indicates that it was subtracted from the insurance paperwork.
**************** is reaching out by text saying he will remove the complaint only if he is reimbursed the cost, which Anderson Roofing is NOT responding too as the cost he is claiming was NOT ever charged.

I am rejecting this response because:The original documents you attached DO contain the lights and deck rail just like you said, but there is no indication they were removed from the paid amount. The contract that you attached is illegible and does not contain my signature on it.
I can see from my copy of the contract that the drip edge is included. Which I know was not replaced on my house. Can you explain why I was charged for the drip edge replacement as well?
