**** **-02 a sub district of the **** franchise accepted $500 for the sponsorship of two 1/2 sponsorships of two saddles, social media recognition, hanging of a banner at every show, and announcements at each show. MO-02 failed to honor all of these during the 2023 season. When confronted *************************** denied all saying its the awardees responsibility to recognize the sponsors despite **** MO-02 accepting the monies for said promised services. When she failed to corrected the deficiency, I escalated it to **** HQ (Franchise Owner). MO-02 also failed to present my wife and ********************* with their second saddle that she won for poles. ***** second saddle was sponsored by my company and she didnt receive the saddle so by default the 1/2 sponsorship was not honored and the refund was not honored. MO-02 is posing as a Not for ******************* when it is a For profit Organization please see their ******** page: *********************************************************************** After I contacted **** HQ via email regarding my concerns and requesting assistance, MO-02 retaliated by submitting a letter slandering my business and requesting a refund for services received and paid for with satisfactory. I can furnish all text message communications relating to this manner. I have yet to receive assistance from **** even after contacting them in the beginning of November. I am looking for assistance in remedying this issue so that other riders and [Children] are not financially impacted by the decisions of an organization that is meant to hold them up high. I would like my wife to receive the pole saddle she earned and was guaranteed by MO-02, I would like for **************** to receive her saddle with my brand on it or a refund for my 1/2 sponsorship in the amount of $250, and a formal apology from both **** MO-02 and NHBA for allowing such behavior to continue given they were notified by *********************** and provided zero resolution in Dec 22-Jan 23.

The original complaint is from a customer whom is a spouse of a **** member and is regarding a $250 sponsorship of an awards program organized by **** ******** 02 director, ***************************. ********************* is by definition a sub-contractor of the National Barrel Horse Association (****) and not employed by such. ***** organizes barrel racing events she then sanctions with the **** using our rulebook. Awards based on performance in the events are not a part of the **** rulebook and if offered are only an additional bonus for the members. These awards are sometimes organized by these directors, again outside of the **** governance, using profits from the events and/or sponsorships. In this case a sponsorship of $250 was provided by ************** to ********************* without formal written agreement. The terms of the agreement and the deliverance of the promises related to the partnership did not go according to how either party felt it should. While both parties have stated their sides of what was promised, what was delivered and how they felt about it **** feels strongly that it is not our place to oversee awards programs and the funding of each, but it is in our best interest to help a director and a member resolve any issues to ensure a peaceful environment. We value our members and directors equally and want both parties to have the ability to move past this issue. We have offered ************** a refund of his $250 sponsorship in full from our office despite never being the original recipient of the funds. It should be noted that some of the deliverables of the agreement did take place in 2023, however in addition to the refund we have drafted an agreement in which ********************* has agreed to sign stating she will hang ****************** banner for advertisement in the arenas an additional year for all of the **** season in good faith. ************** and ********************* have been asked to sign an agreement of non-disparagement which includes the discussed terms included. Due to this issue having to pass through our legal department a resolution has not been quick. At this time ************** has the information he has requested and we await his response.
