This has been the worst flooring I’ve ever put down. I’ve done floating floors in 5 other houses that came out great and are still just as beautiful as the day it was installed. So when my parents decided to remodel I accepted the responsibility of doing the floors. They went to their local distributor and ordered a pet friendly flooring. Happy Feet flooring was the brand they chose. They already had the same type of flooring in the home that held up great over the years. So I pulled up the outdated stuff and put the new Happy Feet brand flooring down and within the first month we started seeing gaps starting to form and the end joint started lifting. Then it started getting so bad that it was tearing the side locks of the planks and making big sharp pieces sticking up that would stab in the bottom of their feet. Called the company and filed all the forms and it took months to even get a response. Then had to pay them $300 bucks just to come out and look at it. The top layer was peeling off and was cracking and making sharp places in all 3 rooms that it was put in. The inspector came in to take pictures and do his inspection. He checked the way it was installed and said it was correct and was telling us that this was definitely a manufacturer defect. So after waiting over another month for a response we get a letter from the company saying they believe it was installed wrong without enough expansion room and they denied my claim. It had 1/2 inch gap at all the walls. So after a whole year of calling and filling out forms and $300 for them to come look at it they refuse to fix the problem. All we asked for was more flooring to fix it. Was not seeking cash to cover any other expenses. This has been the worst flooring and company I’ve ever messed with. At this point even if they gave us flooring to replace it I wouldn’t put it down. Only writing this in hopes of saving other people from wasting money on a dangerous floor from a horrible company.
