Do not do business this this company. The owner of the business has allowed his father to do business and create contracts using the Solid Concrete business name. However, the owner now has stated this Solid Concreate business is no longer active (yet its website and recommendations on multiple sites still exists *************************************).

The father bid and proposed a contract for our workshop construction project for the pour of a commercial level slab. Our project also included the driveway to the building and a patio under the building overhang. The contract had a clear payment schedule. The father started this work in March 2021. He took weeks and months to finish up the excavation work required. And he continued to request payment ahead of the contracted payment schedule while continuing to be months behind. We paid approx. $30K in scheduled and unscheduled payments. We received only two items (of seven) of performance under the contract and schedule, an overpayment on the contract of $18K for work the father and company never delivered. When we requested them to provide us a schedule for completing the work, they refused to provide us a schedule and at that time he also stated we would have to commit to a change order to paying him the remaining amount on the contract AND an additional $9K above the full contract amount for him to continue work. We requested additional proof and documentation supporting this change so we can discuss. The father then chose to walk away from our project and not deliver on the services he was already paid for to that point. We consulted a lawyer who confirmed we had a very strong case and we have pursued legal action.

I am sorry to hear you had a bad experience; however, Solid Ground has no record of you as my client. I personally go to every job I have ever done and interact with my customers directly to ensure great customer service. I have never spoken with Mr. or Mrs. **** about a project at their home or performed any work on their property. Based on this review, their dispute is with another concreter.

As stated in the review, your father was writing contracts under your business name and using your business logo at the top of the contracts. And it was not made clear to us as customers when the contract was presented to us by your father, that your father did not involve you in the contracts he wrote up usign your business name, Solid Ground Concrete. Your father implied he was taking over your / his son's concrete business. We have a written and signed contract with Solid Ground Concrete clearly on the top of the printed document your father provided to us to sign. Either way, it is our review and recommendation that customers should not do business with either company run by these family members doing business as Solid Ground Concrete & Construction or Rodney Hartline Concrete Services.
