I went to this office for a consult. It included **rays and a sit down with the Dr. *** second day I came in after the **rays and they had me watch an hour long video on chiro therapy. *** video felt like a sales pitch. Afterwards, Dr. ** Grewal came into the room and discussed my **rays with me. He stressed how my condition was very bad and we needed to get started as soon as possible. After repeatedly asking about the costs, he finally told me 5 months would cost me $5,630.00 to correct. I asked to think it over over night, and he said there was another option, Care credit. He asked if I wanted to do a scan to see if I would qualify and I told him yes. *** receptionist came in with my paperwork and entered in my info. When she got to the portion of monthly income, I told her that I only make ***** a month. She stated to include all monthly income, even side money. So I told her about my rental property and that my total monthly would be $ *****. She said that it was a one shot thing and that the income needed to be higher just to secure a spot in qualifying for it. She asked if she could say I make **** a month, instead, I hesitantly nodded and immediately I was approved and that it would be $440 a month. I told her I didnt want to do Care Credit and that Id like to think it over for the night. ********** came in and also started pushing the issue. I told them yet again that Id like to think it over and the He said what they would do is go ahead and document that it got approved, they would give me time to think it over and come back the next day with my decision. I asked if he understood that I didnt want to make any financial move until I thought it over and he said yes. I remembered I had a Care Credit account in the past and that I still had my log in for my account and when I logged in today, I noticed that they approved and proceed the amount for services without my permission or written consent at all. I added additional details about what took place.Business response

The patient was not charged for any future services and the patient is only $47 out of pocket thus far for exam and **rays. After reviewing the **ray results with the patient, she had also consented to receiving an additional service and got a treatment(adjustment) that day, which is $70 that we did not charge her for in good faith. CareCredit was only approved and no transactions were made. After the patient said they needed a day to think it over, The patient is under misunderstanding and there is a difference between being approved for a certain amount on CareCredit versus making a transaction with that amount. As stated in the consumers response everything was throughly explained and addressed with the patient before proceeding with anything. There is no history of transaction on the CareCredit account and no purchase that has been made through CareCredit. The Consumer is welcome to provide us with any evidence of CareCredit transaction. We even tried to reach out multiple times and the patient eliminated any form of communication with us.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: Even though I was only billed $47.00, I still now have a Care Credit card account in my name that was not authorized with my consent and contains information that was falsified by your assistant. It has even reported to the credit bureaus as a new line of credit. Unless you can completely make that go away, then I do not accept the response. It is only right that people are made aware of the practices at this business. Like I have stated prior, I will not speak ill of your ability to help your customers heal, because I believe that is so. However, the salesman approach you have and the pushiness of the initial visits are a bit excessive. Not to mention the package options are extremely expensive and you are well aware of that. I did not respond to any of your attempts to contact me because I was informed to only handle matters through the BBB from that point on.

The best way to close the CareCredit account is to call ************** and ask them to close your account and they can close it for you. That will close that line of credit. You also gave us the authorization to move forward on carecredit. You gave us your driver license to verify even your ID right before the screen as every prompt was happening on the carecredit right before your eyes on a 55in tv screen . You could have simply said no and we would have not presumed anything further. If you have already held an account with Carecredit why didnt you mention so just as any logical person would. We are partnered with carecredit for 8 plus years. We have dealt with thousands of patients at this point. Never have we encountered a situation as such. Most people logically just say no when they dont want to pursue anything further. Also as far as cost goes beside the correction plan you were also given the option of doing maintenance care which is $217. Which includes 4 adjustments at $45 each and annual X-rays. Which is far below the average price for a stand alone adjustment in ******. When all the options were presented before you. You made no big deal of the situation presumed with the free treatment and told us that I am really interested and I need a night to think it over. My whole team is shocked by your responses. It's as if you are creating a different illusion of what happened in the office.Customer response

I understand your whole staff is in disbelief of my responses and reports. But respectfully, this is not about your staff. This is about your approach to acquire patients in a forceful manner. What do I have to lie for? There are plenty of reviews on ****** stating almost the exact same experience I had and if I would have been a bit more aware in the moments before my visit, I would have acknowledged those reviews and would not have given you my business. And for that, I take my portion of the blame. Like I have stated previously, my quarrel is not with your staff , it is with you and your approach and also your disregard for my own personal decision and financial situation. Not to mention the most important part of this whole ordeal, the blatant dishonestly that was displayed and applied to this now new Care Credit card that I now have in my name without my permission . I am not discrediting your work. But I will make people aware of your business and your approaches. Its not right. You can most certainly play victim as much as you so choose to. But right is right and wrong is wrong. If you can provide me the steps to completely undo this care credit line I now have on my credit report, or do it yourself, that would be enough to resolve this.
