Texas **** aquatics have charged us a $150 for a fund raiser. We were not aware of the charge being posted untill it showed up in our account. It is our last month at TFA and we are being forced to pay $150 as a fundraiser. Upon asking further the person in charge said they can prorate it to $80. My request was to prorate it further as it was a coincidence that we are leaving Texas **** Aquatics this month and the fund raiser also was posted this month after we gave a heads up to the administration that this was our last month. We were planing on leaving in March but the last date to inform them is the 20th of the month and we genuinely forgot to inform them prior to that date and had no choice other than to continue for the month of April and now incurred the additional charge of $150 apart from the months fee. How can a fund raiser be forced upon a family to pay for? Inspite of that I agreed to pay a little and as of now they said they can get it down to $80. Have been asking them to prorate it further if we have no other choice other than to pay for the fund raiser. Im attaching the images of the email communication between me and TFA. Would request BBB to intervene and get this sorted out.

The above attached is my invoice for ***** which was my last month at Texas **** Aquatics. They charged me $150 for a fund raiser again now in May. I have attached my *****s Invoice.
I have already attached the email communication that happened between me and the owner of Texas **** aquatics. Please resolve this for me. My question is why should we pay for a fund raiser in our last month and why should we be forced to pay for a fund raiser.
I do not intend to pay any amount to Texas **** aquatics.

      Hello,

I have attached the images of the conversation with the Texas **** aquatics and me.
they charged me $150 for a fund raiser even after giving them a heads up that it was our last month at their facility.
They did not inform us about charging our account.
We paid the amount as we did not want that to go to the collections. But I would like them to refund me and not charge me any amount.

I would like BBB to reach out to them and resolve this for me.

The first attachment is what was sent to all members regarding our annual fund raiser.

The second attachment is our copy of email communications. I think most of these match the complaint except for a few that were left out.

As mentioned in our emails we offered a proration. She refused the proration and then filed a chargeback for the full amount. We have no control over chargebacks. We mentioned this to her several times and if we refund now and lose the dispute it would be a double refund of the $70 offered and refused. This dispute has not been settle. She again asked for a $70 refund today and we explained again that we can't do anything until the dispute is settled. She asked ** for $70 refund twice and filed a chargeback and BBB complaint for $150.

Bitla cancelation notice was for May 1st, 2023. This is after the annual fund raiser.
