During the sale of our home the buyers requested a home inspection which was completed by a certified home ins******. Following his work the realtor wanted a second opinion on the foundation, our home previously had piers installed. The realtor contacted Align Foundation and Jason S****** came out to do a second inspection. He arrived at our house and 17 minutes later he walked out and issued a report stating we needed 15 hydraulic steel piers costing nearly $10K. The home ins****** was at our home for over 3 hours and took foundation measurements showing that there was not a need for any foundation work. In order to combat this I now had to hire a structural engineer. He took several hours and multiple measurements again showing that there was not a need for piers. The already installed work was functioning properly and nothing more needed to be done. With this conflicting report the buyers now hired a structural engineer of their own. This professional took several more hours of inspection and reported also that no work needed to be done. All of this took several weeks to sort out. In the mean time my permanent change of station orders meant I had to leave my family behind, we weren't able to place an offer on a new home at my post of duty and nearly lost the sale of our home in McKinney. Three professionals, two of which were independent structural engineers, all stated that Align Foundation was wrong in their desperate attempt to sell piers to a family trying to sell their home.
Unfortunately their are no repercussions for this blatant lie they attempted to perpetrate. We are still out hundreds of dollars after having to hire the engineer and we still don't have a place to live at the new POD.
If you are considering a foundation repair company please please don't use this one. Three independent professionals say they don't know what they are doing.

***** We came to your house at the request of your buyer and did uncover reason to believe there are current foundation issues. I would be happy to provide you with FHA guidelines backing up our assessment. Our inspection revealed that your home was out of specifications. Our company does not have any need to suggest piers when they are not needed and would not do so. It is untrue that we were there for just 17 minutes. You were not at the property during the inspection to know what we did and how long it took. We go to homes all of the time at the request of realtors and tell them that there are no repairs needed. If you would like to discuss it further, please call our office. Since you did not contact us at all about your complaint, there is no way we could explain our reasoning behind the assessment. We did not perpetrate any lie and would like you to reconsider that statement. We offer our customers our honest assessment of their situation, nothing more nothing less.

You are correct that I wasn't at my home at the time of your inspection. However the front and back cameras show the date and time which is why my specific use of 17 minutes. It shows you at the front door with the buyers realtor and 17 minutes later you walk out and to your vehicle. The realtor locked the door and placed the key back in the lock box and leaves. I reviewed your company based upon my data that was received from the engineers reports as well as the home inspector. Others who are considering using Align should be made aware of instances where, in this case multiple other professionals disagree with your attempt to sell piers. Again we are out several hundred dollars and still are not all back together as a family because of the weeks spent trying to rectify your evaluation.
