      Date:05/25/2024 Submitted an order for furniture Saturday notify then Sunday to cancel order spoke with finance company they agree everything was good since order had just been place an we had not received the furniture. When we spoke to 5 star furniture they threaten to charge us 30% of total of order plus $400 we gave cash. Try to speak to the seller Mara ***** sales representative from 5 star she was super rude and just kept disregarding our request. Try to speak to manager also threaten to report us to credit and also said we had to pay 30% for something we did not receive and we formally advice we werent in need of.

      I purchased a Dining room set w/ four chairs on July 22, 2022. I have made contact with my sales representative *****, and the manager by the name of Leo regarding the damaged goods. I have spoken with the manager and informed him of the issue with the chairs. I have called several times and even been hung up on. I have purchased furniture my entire life and I have never purchased furniture that could not hold up against the test of time, this time period being less than 60 days. I did not request a refund, I simply requested that the chairs be replaced and that maybe it was a manufacture issue. However, the other issue could possibly be during the assembly of the furniture your delivery drivers screwed the bolts of the chair in too tight and damaged the wood. Most importantly, I did not damage the table and it was damaged on arrival. It is an expectation that the items be replaced or that I receive a full refund. I purchased this dining room set with an expectation to use the furniture purchased for years to come. However, it is unrealistic to think I could use this furniture in this condition. Nonetheless, in order to stay in business, you must conduct your business in a manner that invites a consumer to return and possibly refer others. The manner in which this business is conducting business isn't efficient and will only lead to your demise.

      I went three weeks ago to buy some chairs and tables with one of my friends my friend bought something else they never told us payment Was weekly I was so excited that I didn't even read the paper when she explained the payment to my friend after she was done with me I her telling her this is weekly and I say wait a minute weekly I cannot afford to pay over $153.00 for table in chairs I thought it was monthly this was after I already pay half of it with my synchrony card account which was 1472 and the rest was financed through whatever financing those people have I told him to cancel one week pass they never cancel I had a call that bank that they financed me the rest and told him to cancel because I did not have the furniture and I didn't hear from them on synchrony I cannot do anything because they already charge it I wait two more weeks called on them hey I haven't received the money hey I haven't received the money you haven't canceled anything sometimes they don't respond this was the Person who sold me the items so I know they were not going to return my money and there's nothing I can do because I sign those documents so what I did is OK send me the table cancel everything else and just finance me the other stuff because I know they were gonna keep my money then they were gonna deliver on Friday, April 1 but I text him if they can deliver it sooner because I'm going out of town they say yes you will get it on Thursday and call me on Thursday morning you need to be home because your stuff is going to be the lever I said OK so I left work I told my boss I'm leaving for the rest of the afternoon came home waited for them they call me really late on Thursday and say we're not delivering we're taking it on Friday morning before 10 AM I told him to please be here on time because I have to work and I cannot miss another day it's 10:30 AM on Friday they haven't even called me that they're on the way and they're not even here I will never purchased anything on this

      Consumer Response /* (2000, 17, 2022/05/17) */ They did contact me finally after a month and a half I got my table I had no other choice but to purchase a table because they didn't want to return the money back on my credit card I still won a really bad review on them so people don't buy furniture at this location with this people I don't want them to go through what I had to do thank you for your time I really appreciate.       December 18, 2021 I left this review Went in to buy a couch on Sunday (12/12/21) we already knew which ones we wanted we had screenshotted from the website so we went in to take a better look at them and see if they are comfortable. The guy that works there said they had it but they didn't have it on display and they only had 2/3 pieces out of the set so we said fine we will take it. He said let me make sure it's the same one he checked again said it was. We went to pick it up on Monday and when we got home and put it together it was the wrong couches! My husband called the sales men and he said "send me a pic" then hung up on him! Of then a couple minutes later calls back and says they are the same ones it's just a newer version he said they haven't made those couches since 2005 that there was nothing we can do about it! If we knew they were different we wouldn't have bought them! Why are you false advertising? If you supposedly don't sell those anymore why do you still have them on your website instead of the "new" ones. So ridiculous never buying here again. I uploaded the ones we wanted and the ones we got. It's been months and still haven't heard from them I just want the couches I was supposed to get. We paid around $750 for 2/3 pieces when the set is $799. I know they still sell them because I've seen other ads for the couches.

      Date of transaction: 10/29/2021 Date of delivery: 11/3/2021 Order number: XXXXX Amount of money paid to business: $1,640 The reason for my dispute is as a customer I paid for good quality furniture and was sold used furniture. When the furniture was delivered to me it was damaged and broken. Once I notified the business the same day of the problem I was treated very poorly, and was told I had to repay $160 for another delivery fee to have a new dresser sent to me. I can't believe I let this business mess me around once again. I knew better to stop giving them my business. This business is really a scam and they should really be ashamed of themselves. I have gave them nothing but good business and they steady trying to get over on me. It doesn't make any sense that all the furniture that I have purchased from 5 Star Furniture have been sold to me damaged. I have bought furniture plenty of times and never encountered problems like the problems I'm having with 5 Star Furniture. This company tried to make it as if it was my fault for noticing the merchandise was unacceptable is heartbreaking. This company sounds so crazy saying they could have someone to come over and repair the damages when I purchased the merchandise new not used. There should not be any repairs needed if the furniture was sold new. I have received horrible customer service from 5 Star Furniture. I have spent over $9,100 with this company and the way I have been treated is very unacceptable.

When reaching out to the customer, we stated that we would be glad to replace the item, but it would have to be at the full price, prior to the discount. Customer refused to switch out the merchandise. Also....upon delivery, the merchandise was inspected and signed off by the customer. We are still willing to swap out the merchandise, if the customer wishes so. She would need to contact her sales rep to complete the agreement. The delivery staff did not have changed for a $20 customer had $160 in cash and ask the driver did they have change so I called the sales rep and he stated I could pay $140. It wasn't no discount given. Why should the customer pay for another delivery when the merchandise was defected when delivered to customer home... I had no problem paying the $10 I had $160 cash and the delivery fee was $150.
