-03/17/2022-03/25/2022 -paid $76.29 -I needed her to cut and re-hem 3 dresses. -2/3 of the dresses were not cut evenly. They are longer in the front than in the back. -I went back to point out the discrepancy. At first she stated that she had put more in the front to make up for the chest area and then she stated that she cut it the same all the way around. Not a clear answer. I did not trust her to re-do the dresses because I did not want the dresses to be cut even worse. I requested for at least a portion of my money back and she stated that she does not do refunds; however, I could not find any signage/documentation anywhere stating this. When I made my request she became rude. -Ticket #****Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 15, 2022/05/31) */ In regards to the complaint filed against Julie's Tailor and alterations Ms Chong had the client try on ALL three of the dresses and pinned each one while the client was wearing them so the client could see and approve the alteration being made. As informed fabric are not all equal and sometimes adjustments need to be made to accommodate the bust area and the rear area. Ms Chong hems the line area that was pinned. She has been doing alterations for over 45 years. She has also offered the dresses be fixed at no additional cost to the client. Ms Chong has never had a complaint in all her years of work. Consumer Response /* (3000, 17, 2022/06/02) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) As I stated in my initial complaint, Ms.Chong at one point stated that she did an even cut all the way around and THEN stated that she made cuts to accommodate the bust and rear areas. She gave me two answers. As for the pinning, I only recall her pinning the front of my dresses and not the back. If she had of pinned them all the way around she would have seen that, if anything, more fabric should have been left in the back to accommodate the rear more than the bust. As for the offer to fix the dresses at no addt'l cost-she did offer. But as I mentioned in my initial complaint, I did not trust her to re-do the dresses for fear of them being cut any worse( or shorter.) Even more so now than before. At this point, I simply want a portion of the money I spent for a service I did not fully receive.
