I had my truck towed to have The Transmission Shop checked roughly the week of May 20th. I was contacted by **** that it needed to be rebuilt. I approved the rebuild and was contacted that it was ready to be picked up. I made arrangements to pick the truck up on Sunday, June 9, 2024. I took the truck to my mechanic (All ******* Repair) on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 to have a "check engine" light checked. He got under the truck transmission and found one cross member s**** completely loose (about to fall out) and the other three loose almost about to fall out. I contacted **** with The Transmission Shop immediately and his response was more or less that he could care less "*******, I have humans that work for me not robots" "What do you want me to do, bring it back and I'll see about fighting them up". At that time I was over an hour away and it was after 3PM. The labor on my receipt ****** was $2,170. He had absolutely no concern about my safety or what could have happen if I continued to drive the vehicle in the shape that he returned it to me on Sunday, June 9th. I paid over $2,000 for something that could have caused a serious accident if not worse. The total bill was $3,442.00 over half was labor that I paid to have something that could have gone extremely wrong! I'm already having to pay to have someone else fix it.

We did receive a call from ******************, a couple of days after picking up his vehicle, and stated that his local mechanic had noticed loose bolts on the crossmember.  When we asked ****************** to please let us look at the vehicle, and that we would gladly fix any possible issues with our work, he said that he would just have his mechanic tighten the bolts.  The vehicle has never been back to our shop, since it was picked up.  I did though call and follow up with ******************, to which he expressed his concerns, but that everything was fine now and working as it should.

In November of 2023, I drove my dodge ram 1500 to The Transmission Shop for a diagnostic quote my third gear was slipping. They said they would not be able to tell me anything until they took the ****** apart. They charged me 500 for the diagnostic and then said it needed a total rebuild. I ordered a transmission but the truckyard sent me an automatic instead of a manual, which was shipped to the transmission shop. I couldnt find a manual transmission, so I called the transmission shop and told them I would be by to pick up my truck. AFTER I paid, they asked me how I was getting the truck home. I told them I was driving it home, as I had driven it there. They said there was no transmission in it and they would charge another 500 to put it back together. I argued that I had paid 500 for them to make my truck worse and they said it wasnt their problem. They put the pieces of my transmission in the bed of my truck and handed me the keys. They also did NOT return the new automatic transmission that had been shipped to their store, which I purchased.

The Garland ******** bent over backwards to help you with your situation and are frankly shocked!

Your truck was at our shop from 11/08/2023 through 02/23/2024! Over 3 months with no storage! You have a rare 6 speed Manual transmission in a regular 1500 (half ton) pickup. We found you a transmission and you thought you had found a cheaper option.

But the junkyard sent us a AUTOMATIC transmission!

And that junkyard transmission WAS put in the bed of truck are you would have asked for those funds also??

We found you a transmission for $950.00 and you husband declined.

We did not charge you for storage which would have been over $2500.00!!!

And you ask us if we would tow it back tow your house. WE DID AT NO CHARGE!

And now you do not want pay our labor which Does not include office staff time in looking for your parts!

So No there will be no refund.

We were never quoted for any type of storage fee it was never even mentioned. They told us they would have a diagnostic before Thanksgiving (we took the truck in beginning of November). It was not diagnosed until around Christmas time. We immediately ordered a transmission and the wrong one was shipped to us. We tried to source another one with no luck. The transmission the repair shop told us of was a rusted one from ********** with no warranty. Never ever was their mention of them not returning my truck in original condition. Also, as listed on their website they offer complimentary towing, which they did NOT offer to us but we had to request as they completely disassembled my transmission. I drove my car there and ALL I want is for them to put the damaged transmission back together so they return it in original condition. Im not asking for a refund, ** just asking for my property to be returned the way it was delivered.

On 9/27/2023 my business relationship began with The Transmission Shop ********** to have my 2014 ****** Sentra's CVT transmission rebuilt. Prior to bringing my vehicle in for service I inquired about getting a remanufactured CVT, my understanding is this type of transmission is difficult, he confirmed they can do it. At this point the communication was great, I knew I'd be without the vehicle for at least a month no problem. On 11/1/2023 I get the call the vehicle is ready. ******* gives me a run down some parts were double the cost and the ******** the cost. I thought that was cool, I'm on disability/fixed income, I didn't ask for the $100 off for major repairs. I ask should I bring it back after a certain number of miles for a checkup, he said no just look out for leaks. Within a week grease and fluid was on my driveway. Took it back, leaking from axle. I parked the vehicle the very next day until I could get money for the axle, because there was a popping noise. Nov 15, 2023, they replaced the axle, still making popping noise. Nov 17, 2023, the transmission completely fails. I'm stranded on 35E. Vehicle is towed back to the shop. Nov 20, I talked with ****, he tells me the chain broke in the transmission. After talking with ****, it was determined that the transmission was causing the noise and beginning to fail. Since that time, they have been trying to figure it out. I requested that they get me a rental, because it was costing me money to get my kid to school. in that regard it has been very disappointing. Finally on Dec 11, 2023, I was told they have to order a new transmission. That also the time when I was told I could drive the car around town since I have things to do. That was a mistake to do it was a hazard. On 12/14 they sent a tow for the car, because they had a transmission coming on 12/15. As of this day 12/19 I have not heard anything. Doesn't seem like a paying customer is a priorty to get the problem resolved timely. Could use the 100 on rental.

9/8/2023 was the day I pick up my car. They had it for 3 weeks. They did work to the transmission line didnt install them right and cause further damage to my car! They stated that my car was damaged bad and they shouldnt have work on it. They continue to work on it install transmission cooling lines thats wasnt the best according to the dealer ship! Their work has caused my warranty on my car to honored. Truth be told if they wouldve never touch it I couldve used my warranty that I was unaware of at the time.

We show a minor repair completed on 9-22-2023 for ******. We installed factory transmission cooler lines but customer was advised as noted on repair order of numerous transmission problems. At this time it does not appear that the customer or vehicle has returned to any of our locations.

If customer has a problem he must return to our shop for any warranty repairs.

      Thank You

I am rejecting this response because:   I have taking my car to AAMCO where the repairs from this shop was fixed. I was advised from AAMCO that my transmission didn't have any other problems that was listed from THE TRANSMISSION SHOP. So the repairs THE TRANSMISSION shop said i need was false. I also has paperwork from the dealership stating the repairs THE TRANSMISSION shop has done was incorrect. I will be following up with a small court claim if we can't get the matter resolved and I receive full reimbursement for the repairs and the extra money I had to spend to correct their work.

      Business response

This customer has NOT returned to our shop for any warranty problems with this minor repair performed previously. Nor do we have any record of this customer even calling us. If he does want to return to shop we will gladly inspect his vehicle at no charge and perform any warranty repairs needed.

      Thank You

Took our sprinter van to get the transmission rebuilt, after the transmission work was completed they did not secure the engine and transmission components back together properly, which ended up with the engine, falling out and causing computer and electrical issues, none of the mechanics in this place are licensed, the shop operates without a full fire, marshal or state inspection, and upon further investigation the legal entity doesnt even have a bank account or insurance covering this LLC, the owner is *********************** , who is the wife of Universal transmissions owner, but this particular business diesel ***************************** is legally registered and owned by her but operated by her son, ********************* . This whole operation is a sham and a cover-up for either money, laundering or some other activity thats not legal .

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/09/13) */ To all concerned, I'm not sure why Mr. ***** waited around 5 months to discover he was overcharged! I do NOT have a previous written quote of $2200.00. I did notice there was one item on his receipt that is not a transmission part. We installed auxiliary oil cooler on the front of his radiator that has a part cost of 125.00 and 145.00 labor which included on his total labor. That one item is 270.00 and then you have tax of 163.30 so we are getting close to this alleged 2200.00 quote. I have talked to Julio (manager)and he is not sure what Mr. ***** is talking about. Mr ***** cannot say he overcharged on something 5 months ago! AND If he has a shifting problem bring it to us because he has a warranty! Thank You Martha A****

My vehicle had the transmission replaced in June. On July 30 the vehicle began having transmission problems, and it was towed to the shop on Aug 2. The vehicle was not looked at/diagnosed until Aug 5. The vehicle's transmission was torn down on Aug 9 and a call was made to me regarding the state of the repair on Aug 10. They replaced a sensor and had to rebuild the transmission. The sensor was not the problem and we were then told the vehicle's transmission computer had to be replaced. The part was ordered and we were told the vehicle's computer would be programmed on Aug 13. We were then told the programming tool was broken and a new one would be in on Monday Aug 16. On Monday Aug 16 we were told the vehicle would not be ready until Tuesday Aug 17. As of Aug 17 it will be 16 days without a working vehicle. I asked for a discount due to the length of repair, was offered $200 for programming, and then that discount was "taken back" (via text). I would like my discount that was offered.
