I would not rent with Texas Wind River. *********************** is the operating mgr. and she is an "Operator". I went to ****** and rented for a year with her only. Even left 30 days early with paying the entire month. I went down to Texas to help my son get situated and got totally taken advantage of by ***** and her husband. Lazy landlords. I had been a home owner and took pride in taking care of my propety etc., so when I lived there and she refused to take care of things, I did it because it was not worth the stress since I was not staying long. I mowed the lawn for the triplexes on our side and took care of the pest control, as she refused to "budge" an inch to do anything. So when I gave notice, she kept saying, "I sure hope you stay, stay as long as you want, as you are taking good care of the property." She even offered me work in cleaning units that were vacated. When we gave noice, she gave us a list of things to clean. I met every obligation on the list. We expected to get most of theh deposit back of **** as we had only been there just a year. We paid a pet deposit of 400 which was non refundable. The only thing that was damaged was a few holes my dog had dug outside, but I bought 4 large bags of dirt to fill and took pictures. The pet deposit should have more than covered some dirt. She made up bogus claims that my son has stayed 3 days beyond me and "forced him to sign a cash for keys agreement" for ******. We paid the entire month, and she never said that he could not stay 3 days beyond me. She also pulled our garbage containers into the garage after my son pulled them to the curb or pickup, so she could charge us for leaving "full containers", another 150 bogus claim. We took pictures of empty garage and have proof. She made up dog hair, which was "planted" by her, (note: she has a long haired dog) as our pictures show there is not dog hair or dust.
