02/26/2024 I took my truck to Midas and the only problem with it was the a/c not blowing cold. When I got my truck back the fan was blowing hard as soon as I turned on the truck, and it continued to run after I turned the truck off for another 5-7 minutes before it stop. They are not being helpful at all, the manager I spoke with name ******* was telling me if I wanted the fan fixed I needed to pay an additional $500 to do so. The charge me $627 to put Freon in there, I took it to get checked else where and was told that it was no Freon in the truck. Midas refused to reimburse me any of my money.Initial Complaint

On March 8th I made a $400 advance payment to Midas of Georgetown (551 **************** Georgetown, **********************) to order and install a fender liner. I was leaving for a trip on the 10th and ***** (associate) promised the car part would be in before I left. The part never came in, they never called to tell me it wouldnt be, I had to call them to ask if it was delivered the day I was supposed to be leaving on vacation. On March 10th I asked for a refund. I walked into the physical store and then called multiple times to ensure I was getting a refund. Every time I called (which has been 13 times in total now) they said they would get back to me, no one ever calls me back. Im talked to HR 4 times now and they say the same thing well get back to you. No one has ever reached out, I have to call asking for my money every week and I get the same answer every time its out of my hands, Ill escalate this situation AGAIN. Its been over 2 months now that I have yet to receive a refund and Ive called consistently each week. No one is able to tell me why I havent received a refund and Ive yet to hear from someone who actually knows what theyre doing. Im a single mom and have been very patient but now feel as if Im being abused and neglected by this company. HR number Ive been in contact with : ***************** Midas of Georgetown number: *****************Business response

I took my truck here to fix a misfire they charged me $1500 and all they did was take my truck apart and didnt put it back together. They diagnosed that it needed a new engine. Which what they did almost voided my warranty. Then they left parts in my bed of the truck. They didnt properly secure the parts in plastic. They just folded some plastic on it the first time they put the truck outside. Then when they brought the truck back in they never covered it back in plastic.. And, parts got damaged. You can see this in their camera of the truck being towed away that the parts had no plastic near the parts. And now they wont pay for the mess up and the dealership is trying to charge me $1500 more just to get my truck back.Initial Complaint

On October 11, 2021, I brought my vehicle to Midas due to a scraping noise i heard coming from the back of the car. I thought it may be the brakes, and Midas offered a free break inspection. After they completed the inspection, they told me the issue was that I needed new brake pads and rotors on the back of the car and a brake line flush. I paid $554 to complete the service. The issue was not resolved, so I talked with ****** at their front desk about bringing the vehicle back in. I scheduled an appointment to inspect the on-going issue on November 8, 2021. Midas had my vehicle for an hour when they called to inform me that I needed a new set of front brakes and a brake line flush. They did not mention anything about the actual issue I had come back in for, which was the noise coming from the back of the car. Also, I had just paid them to flush the brake line four weeks earlier (less than ***** miles earlier). Either they never did the initial flush or the technician did not actually check my lines to see if I needed one on the 8th.I returned to the shop to express anger that they were telling me I needed this flush service after having just paid them to do it weeks earlier. ****** went and spoke with the technician who admitted he did not run the chemical strip on the fluid, instead he just did a visual inspection. ****** said there was no way a visual inspection on fluid that recently changed would have indicated another procedure. Also, when the initial inspection was done on October 11, they identified my front brake pads as being in "green" condition in green/ yellow/ red scale. Now only a few weeks later, they told me "they need to be replaced." Again, this is clearly a scam trying to make me pay for services I don't need.My underlying issues of noise coming from the back of the car still has not been resolved.
