I bought a new Samsung 21 ultra 5k, the phone was accidentally dropped and screen was cracked. The device would still charge and I could hear I was getting message, notifications or incoming calls but could not answer them due to my screen. I've worked in the cell phone repair business before and took my phone to just get my screen fixed on April 28th, stated it would be $399.45. I was told, the part had to be ordered. I called to check status and also let them know when I spoke with a lady that I had to purchase a phone for cheap from Best Buy to later take back because I needed a source of communication. I was told that the part from fedex should be coming in and to call back around 3 pm. Which this whole time I was told that they were waiting on the part to just come in. Then I was told that it could cost more because a battery needed to be replaced. Not happy either that I was told that the communication was wrong and now the phone was shipped out of State to another repair facility. This was not communicated to me before shipping my phone somewhere else but stated it would cost $539.09 and should be completed soon. I called on 5/17 and they stated the part should come in today or tomorrow but to call on the Thursday of the week. I waited and called on 05/24, no response, asked for a response via text. No response. Finally was able to speak with someone at the Commcentral and they said there was a problem with the motherboard and the new charge plus tax was $674.40. They said it would get fixed and sent out. Only to have more delays and then updates that it is taking longer but will have it soon. Finally today I am told that the phone is unrepairable. I am Dumbfounded how a $1200.00 I purchased on 12/1/21 is no longer repairable after commcentral taking my phone since April 28th and now June 13th. I believe they messed up my phone and should have to replace it. I am not opposed to get a lawyer and handle this because this is not fair how they took advantage!Business response

The customer was notified we would be sending the phone out of state for micro solder repair due to extensive board issues, which she approved. We did no further damage to the phone, we simply opened it, assessed the damage, and gave the customer the potential remedies and cost estimates. A phone with a bad LCD FPC will certainly power up and receive calls, you just can't see anything on the screen. This phone is acting exactly the way it was when it was first brought to us. We have over 6 hours of technician's labor on this project, and as of 7/22/22, she has yet to pick it up. We will post any updates here. With over 25 years doing business at the same location, and over 61,000 feedbacks on eBay, we strive our best to satisfy every customer.
