End of December we had a rain soft system installed and they told us it would be a free reinstall if we moved. We moved a couple months later and they gave us a fake date promised it was free and will not honor that. Paid almost 9k for a water system that we cannot use. Unless we paid some OTHER company 750$. And now the install date has passed they are saying were out of their area and they will not install it. I will return this equipment and contact a lawyer if they do not honor their word.

The customer has been scheduled for reinstall.

We never promised a date.  There is no information on her original contract that indicates a free reinstall.  If there was an indication of a free reinstall it would be within our service area (********************************** area).  She has moved out of our service area.

We have coordinated with ********** and another RainSoft provider that services in the area where she moved.  They will be taking care of her reinstall on 7/2 according to the information that we were given.

The salesman that came to my house to tell us about the Rainsoft Water filter told us after we get it installed the water smell will go away. He said our skin and laundry would be way softer. They put the water filtration in around April of this year and it has stopped the smelling when we turn on our water it hasnt helped the skin or laundry to be soft. It hasnt done anything he told me it would do. I have called them many times and they sent someone that says everything is working like it should. I dont not see any differences since it was installed.

Tell us why here...The RainSoft system was installed 03/28/2023.  We have been to their home three times and checked the function of the equipment at no charge.  Every time we have been there the water has tested 0 soft (as it should be if working properly).

The customer has complained of an intermittent smell from the bathroom sinks.  She has stated that the smell comes and goes and is only in the bathroom not the kitchen.  I explained that if the water were the cause, the smell would be everywhere the water is used.    Since it is isolated to the bathroom it must be coming from the drain.  It may be noticed when the water is used because it is flowing down the drain and may be releasing a sewer gas smell.

She has stated that she is not happy since she feels that she is not receiving the benefits of treated water.  I explained that the benefits of treated water are not a matter of opinion but have been verified by many independent studies and that the way to verify that the system is working is a scientific test, which has been done repeatedly for her. I have emailed her some articles from independent sources that document the benefits of treated water.  The only thing that she has stated that will make her happy is a full refund and I have explained that her cancellation period has long since elapsed (over 7 months ago) and we are not able to take her system back and refund her money.  We stand behind our products and have verified several times that her equipment is working properly.

      11/03/2023

I am rejecting this response because:   The reason we got this system is because the salesman told us that the smell would be gone once the system was installed. I dont care if the water was tested and we have soft water. What we cared about was the smell. The salesman was told the smell was only in the bathrooms. He was also told that the smell was not all the time but mainly in the mornings or late at night. If this system could not get rid of the smell he shouldnt have told us it would. The smell has improved in the last month because the **************** in ***** is working on the lines. We contacted the builder to see if they could figure out what the smell was and they said we are in a drought and something about the undertow the lake water and stirring up stuff. I would have to look at the email they sent to get the exact wording. I have contacted this company many times to tell them the smell has not went away and for a salesman to tell me it would is fraud.

As mentioned previously....  The RainSoft system filters the whole home - not just the bathrooms.  People buy our system because the want filtered water for the entire home.  We have provided that to the customer.

I am rejecting this response because:   I wanted the system to get rid of the smell that comes from the water. Im going to figure out how to get the form that I submitted to the *********** On that form I put it wanted my water tested to figure out the smell from our water. Like I have stated several times the salesman was aware that the smell was only coming from the bathroom sinks. I didnt want to pay ******* for a system that was we not going to fix the smelly water. The Salesman said the smelly water would be gone after the system was installed. I called and they came several times and they said everything is working fine. The system did not fix the smelly water. The Salesman knew the water did not smell all the time. He should not have told me it would get rid of the smell. If he had not the system would not have been purchased.

I am rejecting this response because:   Once again if the product could not have got rid of the smell then the SALESMAN SHOULDNT HAVE TOLD US IT WOULD. HE TOLD US MANY THINGS THAT THE NEW WATER WOULD FIX AND IT HASNT. Once again the only reason we wanted the system is because we had smelly water. I have contacted the office and asked that someone come out and put down some kind of pan under the cylinders. They produce condensation and are messing up my sained concrete floor. They want to charge me to fix the issue however, they put a protective piece of plastic under my sink where the other tanks are to make sure they rewin the underneath of my cabinet. They might want to comply because the cost to reduce my stained concrete floor is quite costly and I will pursue that avenue if necessary.

*********************************** purchased her RainSoft equipment in 2017.  We have been out for service one time in 2019 for routine maintenance.  In 2020 she told us not to call her for maintenance and we have honored that request.  She refuses to schedule service with our company and has stated that she has someone else doing her service calls.
Her complaint of condensation coming from the tanks is unusual for this time of the year.  Without having one of our qualified service technicians there I cannot be sure that is not a small leak or some other issue present. We offered her a leak tray at no charge if ************** comes out, with normal service rates, to do maintenance on her system and she refused.   We also offered a leak tray at no charge if she would to come to our office to pick one up.

If she has had someone not affiliated with our company servicing her unit we cannot be responsible for any issues that arise.  We will be glad to schedule a service technician out at normal service rates if she agrees.

When I spoke to the lady at rainsoft regarding this issue I don't need service done on my system they need to come out here and look at my floor where it is destroyed due to the ranks sweating as I said it is funny they put down the cover under my sink but not on my laundry room floor they need to come at no close to check it period.

If not I will be taking legal action as my floor is messed up due to the tanks sweating. They were told about this in 2019 when the tech came and charged a huge fee and spent very little time here. The company is a joke and money theifs. Charging way more than the service they provide.

As previously stated.  This problem is unusual.  The customer stated she has had another person (not from our company) working on her equipment.  We cannot be held responsible for issues.  If she wants us to look at the equipment there will be a service fee.  The leak tray under the kitchen sink is a courtesy to a customer in case there is  any plumbing leak (could be a dishwasher, sink faucet, garbage disposal, etc).  We have offered a leak tray at no charge to the customer if she wants to pick up at our office, or if she has a service technician come out to evaluate what is going on (with appropriate service charges).

I am rejecting this response because:

It is a rainsoft technician who came out I clearly stated I want going to pay for someone to come look at my floor when I clearly sent a picture of what it did, messed up my floor. How about you have the owner of the company or cooperate office not the lady who I have spoken too in the past and we can go from there.

The leak is coming from faulty plumbing their installer put in causing the problem.  They have no leg to stand on and want me to pay for their crappy contractor's faulty work.

I have had multiple issues with this product since we had it installed. We had rainsoft install their water softener treatment along with the drinking water treatment as well. Within a few days of having this system in, I had the WORST eczema reaction which flared up all over my face and neck. I called asking to cancel this agreement and to take their system back and they offered to give me more time to adjust to the water because it may be an initial reaction. It's been about 4 months and I am continuously having the worst eczema I've ever had in my life. I barely leave the house because my skin looks horrific and feels like it's on fire when it gets really bad. When I spoke with the sales rep, he said that it's odd I'm making these claims when they advertise that this helps with eczema and that he has never received a complaint like this before and clearly I need to change my diet. Since we got the system, I have flareups all over my face and neck that are painful, itchy, swollen and flaky that I have never had prior to having this system. The photos I've attached are not the worst flareups I've had but examples of some of them. It doesn't look like much but it affects my daily life at this point. Im insecure, in pain, and frustrated that nothing helps. No matter how much steroid creams I try or how often I wash my face, it's just misery. Now I'm stuck paying for a system that literally makes my life miserable because their warranty is only for 3 days and I'm frustrated when they told us they have a warranty for much longer. I want this system taken out of my home and my money back. This whole process has made me miserable and in constant pain and did the exact opposite as they advertised to me.

We purchased the water filtration system in Dallas, Tx October of 21. We moved to Chicago in January of 22 and had a licensed contractor uninstall the unit. We asked him if there was anything special we needed to do about moving up to Chicago and all he said was keep it in your garage and you should be fine. The only thing we should do for the move was to clean off the tanks so the mud didn't get on the rest of our boxes during the move. When we arrived in Chicago we left the units in the garage until a professional could come reinstall it. When he came out he assessed the units had completely frozen over and destroyed all the internal mechanics. After trying to file a claim w the moving company, rain soft DFW has been deflecting blame and basically insinuating I should have been a water treatment expert and should've told the moving company to put the units inside rather than the garage. Since this was my first water treatment system, I thought the contractors advice was the best way to go. Rain soft has not helped me resolve the situation, aside from trying to file a claim w the moving company. I've asked if there is a way to get the current unit fixed, but haven't been able to reach any sort of conclusion. We really liked their product, but their customer service is seriously lacking.
