I will not purchase this coverage again nor will I recommend to anyone else. My vehicle is making popping sounds from the back which turn out to be the suspension knuckles. This happens at low speed. This is a common issue with my particular vehicle apparently. Claim denied due to lack of demonstrated failure, but it is clearly making noise in the back. This is the second time Ive had this in for the same issue - they did not repair the correct part the first time. Why buy a warranty if repairs will be denied in the coverage window? And my car has been at the shop for nearly two weeks while I waited for a response.

I purchased a 2018 ****** pathfinder 14 months ago. Along with it I purchased an extended warranty for extra coverage. My ****** stated making weird noises so I took it into ******. They determined it was the engine. Our manufacturer warranty was up. ****** said that our extended warranty should cover the cost. They continued to submit a claim to careguard. Careguard informed them they would need our oil change receipts. Which we happily gave. *********** changes when it was suppose to be changed. Well they came back and denied our claim stating there was sludge in the engine! Mind you the vehicle had ****** miles on it when I purchased it. It now has a little over ******. No way with proper oil changes did I put sludge into my engine. So now Im stuck PAYING for a vehicle I CANNOT EVEN DRIVE. Which is my only way of transportation. The warranty was expensive but I wanted to be protected in case an issue such as this happened. I also had to pay ****** $350.00 just for them to tell me it was the engine. They literally cover nothing! We had a vent that stopped working that they wouldnt fix. The heated seats stopped working. They wouldnt fix that either! So now Im just stuck paying for a car that I cant even drive with 3 children and it was our only way of transportation.

Bought warranty for a **** hybrid in august of 2022 Was sold the caregard warranty on the basis that it would cover the hybrid battery pack.11 months later car doesn't start and take it to the only shop that can get me in before warranty expires. Shop says it won't start cause the thing is throwing low voltage from battery p**** call customer service to to get the ball rolling on a replacement battery pack. Care gard says the battery pack is not covered and the best i am offered is I could cancel my policy for a third of the value of what i paid.Never do business with this company. You would be better served putting the premium money in an account to pay for repairs yourself.

I have an extended warranty on my used vehicle I purcased at the dealership. All I'm responsible for is a $100 deductible, they even covered the diagnostic fee. My car is in the shop for a repair and will take a few days for the part to come in. CareGaurd is also paying for me to have a rental because no loaner car is available. Highly recommend CareGuard.

Classic "bait and switch" operation. I had a 2015 **** F-150 that developed some problems after purchase, and under the CareGard warranty. When I called CareGard, they were cheerful enough, instructing me to take my truck "to any authorized shop for repair, and have the shop call with a quotation." (Direct quote, no further instructions). The first issue was a faulty connector to my master brake reservoir (leaking slowly). I took my truck to a local *****affiliated, ASE-certified mechanic in town, who called, and indicated CareGard declined to cover the repair--I paid out of pocket. The second problem was that the **** duct motor on the passenger side went out, leaving the passenger side on constant heat, despite the A/C working perfectly fine on the drivers' side. Again, I called CareGard, who instructed me to take it to "any authorized shop for repair." When I asked if this was covered under my warranty, the reply was, "anything mechanical bumper-to-bumper is covered." Being an Engineer personally, and knowing **** falls under 'mechanical', I took the truck to the *****affiliated, ASE-certified mechanic. He called with a quote to CareGard, only to be declined coverage. At this point, I again paid out of pocket, and read the contract on early termination and reimbursement.I'm glad I looked up CareGard on this BBB website before it was too late. I terminated the contract early enough to get a partial refund. Sorry CareGard, once may be a fluke, but twice is as pattern. I recommend anyone avoid their pattern, and keep your money in the bank where you're sure to have guaranteed access to it for possible repairs. Don't roll the dice on CareGard.
