I am a senior citizen on a fixed income. I signed an agreement with Texas Home Improvement LLC in February for application of Newspray to the exterior of my home and installation of a new back door. Application of Newspray was completed by March 2, 2024. Door installation took place on May 13, 2024. During the door install, I realized that something was wrong because the storm door could not be reinstalled. The next day I measured the door and realized that instead of a 32 inch door, a 29 inch door was installed. Fire Code requires 32 inches for an egress door. I notified the sales person that there was a problem with the door on May 13, 2024. Also, notified supervisor on May 22, 2024 via text and in person on June 26, 2024. No one has contacted me.Business Response

This is the first time hearing about this complaint from the customer. We reached out to her and she was texting the wrong number and never called or emailed the office. We take pride in taking care of any issues our customers have and now will send a manager out to resolve the issue! We hired Texas Home Improvement to replace our roof and patio cover. They completed the work in early January, 2024. Wepaid them by check on 1/12/2024 at which time the contractor said they would email the final invoice to me.This is my only complaint: They never provided me an invoice or a warranty certificate for this expensive roof. I have called the business several times over the past few weeks but cannot reach a live person, just voicemail. Despite stating what I need and leaving my contact number, they have yet to return my call.All I want is (1) the final invoice for the roof and (2) evidence that the roof is under warranty. Supposedly, this is a 50 year roof.BTW, I need to provide the invoice to my insurance agent so they will add roof replacement to my homeowners policy. Without it insurance will not cover it.Business Response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.Additionally, THI contacted me on 6/10/24 and provided the rquested documentation, which I have forwarded to my insurance provider. Furthermore, THI offered to work directly with my insurance agent should they require additional documentation. I am pleased with their response and ******* this case resolved.

On 5/16/2022 someone cold called (***) to our home in ****** ** selling siding from Texas Home Improvement. We need siding so we decided to let him quote the job. $********* We hired them. The project started off good but turned bad very quickly. My house is still NOT right. I have been paying ****************** for over a year now. I have pictures of my house to proof their workmanship.**** the project manager has stopped replied to my text messages since May 6, ********************************************************* 2-4 weeks. ** is the owner but we have never met him. We have requested meetings but we are told he lived in CA. Its now August 28, 2023 with NO word from them. I am paying alot of money for something that is not right and doubt they plan to return to correct the issues since they have got their ALL their *********!!! I originally hired them to replace my windows. They did such a great job. Replaced the window ***** that needed replacing, painted all window *****. Only complaint on the windows is that they did not replace grout that was knocked out during window replacement.Foundation, gutters and soffit:The Foundation people were good announced their arrival. I was told they would handle my plants with kid gloves. This was not the case. They saved maybe 8 plants total. They did say there would be mounds of dirt. They left my place a total disaster. Broke a large wagon wheel and a star that my deceased husband gave me. I have a sprinkler guy coming June 6-7 to fix the sprinkler lines/Heads that are broken. I have a disaster of a patch job on my front entry.The gutter guy just showed up no announcement to let me know he was on my property. First thing he did was look at the gutters in my driveway and then went through the gate and went behind my shed and urinated. Started to remove gutters with what I believe to be his wife and never once asked me to move my vehicle that was within 5' of him yanking gutters down. He ****** my camera/flood lights. Which the lights do not work, camera still works. Him and his helper urinated in several different locations in my yard. ************** was notified and they and talked to him and then his response was to cover my cameras. He left a foot print in concrete at my front door that the foundation people were working on. I have paint on my pool tiles. Water that does not go down the gutters. Puddles in flowerbeds. Windows now are splattered every time it ************ everywhere. Killed my grass in the back yard. I personally laid two flats of grass. **** requested me to sign off for funding on the project before the gutters were installed.My Patio has boards sticking up. I would like the warranties I was promised and for them to finish the job they promised to do. I receive no return calls. You should leave the property in better shape than when you started.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:I still have the following items that are not taken care of:
Concrete that needs to be smoothed at the front door - this is still a issue
I still do not have any warranty papers for gutters / soffits / foundation and windows
I still need the unsafe step fixed on the patio and some of the drooping boards fixed.
They completed the following:

***** attached the dangling wire...He did a great job!!!
I replaced the camera / flood light and had a Master Electrician hook it up...I paid this $139.00 (I would have to look at my original receipt for the exact price) The electrician said it was improperly installed by their soffit guy and that is why water destroyed the lights, he has never seen this ever on any of the lights he has installed.
A crew came out and fixed the gutters...I asked ***** to fix a area where they left me roof shingles pulled up.
Marco - again did an amazing job...He power washed the pool tiles and was extra careful not to spray any dirt into the pool.
I did receive a receipt from someone at the office for me to replace the dead plants
I had a sprinkler crew come out and fix broke pipes in two different areas (where they dug for foundation work) and had to have the sprinkler system rewired as a wire was also cut....I paid this also $1,650.00
They did paint the rails and got paint all over the patio....Again, ***** to the rescue...not only did he do an amazing job repainting...he power washed the deck to remove all the plant splatter...They have not asked to be paid for this yet!

We have gone above and beyond for this customer, she was so happy with our work she contracted us to do the windows after the windows were installed we then did the siding and foundation, we also built a deck at cost, we also did ************** that was not contracted to do, we fixed the gutters that were blocking her security cameras and also purchased and replanted her whole front flower bed and resurfaced the concrete she's stepped in herself, through dealing with all her grievances she even mentioned once all the work is completed to her satisfaction she still would not remove her negative review

I am rejecting this response because:I still have the same outstanding issues since December 2022 when they did the job.
They have asked that I remove the complaint. I told them when all the items on my list were completed, I would be happy to remove the complaint.
To date I still have the following uncompleted items:
Warranty on the gutters or soffits
Warranty on the foundation...or if they could provide where the City Engineer signed off on the drawings that they should have provided to the city.
Still have an unsafe step on the patio
Still have shingles that are lifted up when they did the gutter repair.
Still have the poor / unsafe concrete repair at my front door...this issue was the first complaint...timeline I was at work when this was poured and it was set by the time I arrived home, so I could not have done this...I watched on my camera when ******* stepped in the wet cement.
I have been yelled at, hung up on along with my other complaints of this company. To date I am out $2,000.00 out of pocket to fix their damages to my property, granted they did not charge me to paint the patio rail, but I am still out money. I will also have to hire someone to fix the above items. I have not reached out for a quote, as I have been slammed at work.
So, all in all...This company does amazing window installation. I would like to thank *************************** for reaching out to me, His exact words (Checking and making sure how everything is hold up. Windows look wonderful! Please let me know if there is anything else we can do! Thank you!) Now that is customer service!!! I kept his note and added to the growing file I keep on this company.
I would NOT recommend this company for gutters/soffits/ or foundation work. Now it is the end of August, and the work was done in December...need I say more.
