      I just want to say GEUS lied about their policy in reference to the late fees. I moved to Greenville in the summer of 2022, and Ive had late fees every month except for 2. According to a response they gave another person filing a claim about their fees and grace ******* GEUSs comment was the fees are not applied for 15 days and theres still an ******** period after the 15th before disconnect. Thats a LIE! My current bill was due on 11-28-2023 and since I was paid (early) on 11-29-2023, I was already charged a late fee of $8.49 when I paid my bill on the 29th. I started documenting/screenshot my bills so there wouldnt be an issue, if I ever needed it. GEUS either needs to be shut down or other companies should be allowed to come into this town.

      GEUS is the provider of electric service for Greenville, **.GEUS service policy states: "Should a bill for charges or security light rentals for electric service remain unpaid after fifteen (15) days from the date of issuance, a late charge shall be imposed on the account.the total amount of the balance outstanding for GEUS services. A late charge shall be equal to five percent (5%) of the total balance due and shall be automatically added to the customer's ********************** account."Customer bills are generated and mailed out to our customers or available to view online each month. Fifteen days after the issuance of the bill is the due date. If a customer pays after the due date, there is a 5% late fee penalty added to the bill. The 11-day grace ****** applies to the customer's account being disconnected but has no bearing on the penalty for paying late. Issuance for the bill in this matter was 11/9/2023 with a due date of 11/28/2023. A 5% late fee was applied since it wasn't paid until 11/29/2023. The account would not go out for disconnection until 11 days after 11/28/2023. GEUS apologizes for any confusion ******************** may have regarding bill due dates and encourages her to contact our **************** at ************ for any questions and to discuss options such as autopay.
